I would hate it if they traded him but, http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ave-received-trade-inquiries-on-dee-milliner/
He is still on his rookie contract. Showed flashes of being a quality corner and Revis and Cromartie are not the future. Let him learn some more under them and see how he progresses. Surely Bowles wants to see his play first. he was a little on his own last season.
This reaks of BS floated by either his agent to get him somewhere he will get paid after his rookie deal is up or the team trying to scare other teams into upping the offer. Either way, I don't want to sell low. Bowles uses a lot of CBs and I still think he could be a good one. Granted, he's not the picture of perfect health himself, but we know all about Cromartie's well-being.
As Mehta said, trading him for anything less than a 2nd at this point would be stupid and nobody is giving the Jets that right bow.
Would hate to see Idzik's first pick as our GM go wayside. Whom else with great scouting ability would take an injury prone player with the first top ten pick?
If someone ponies up a late first rounder or early first rounder go ahead and move him but otherwise let's see if he can stay healthy. I think he's a solid NFL CB if he can stay healthy. Cro & Revis aren't spring chickens.
Take it for what it's worth with Mehta being the source: http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/foo...liner-forgotten-corner-jets-article-1.2153245
I can believe this. With all the guys we signed, teams have to be looking to see if we'd trade him. I say do it. Guy sucks
If I were a team in need of a CB I would trade a second based on potential alone. He was a top 10 pick and has not really had a chance to show what he can do because of injuries. That said they need the depth and he is cheap, I wouldn't trade for anything less than a first and we won't get that.
I'd probably wait until after this season. See if he has returned completely from injury and if the Jets still need him, considering Cromartie's age.
This isnt the year to trade Milliner. Especially if its only for a six. If he's healthy he's going to see a lot of snaps.
I like how the article said they WONT trade him for a mid-late pick.. If we get a 2nd rounder or better I would do it but I'm not down for selling low.
This defense is going to be exciting to watch with all these corners running around picking off passes. Milliner will be a big part of it this year, I'm sure... no point in trading him.
There's no upside to trading Milliner so the idea shouldn't even be entertained. Maybe with the pressure off the kid it'll give him a new lease on his career and he can come back when he's healthy and show what he can do to contribute.
