Anyone think we will make a push for a TE in this draft considering we have let Keller walk?

I would love to grab Tyler Eifert

You think Eifert will fall to us in the second?

Tyler Eifert probably going late 1st early 2nd before our pick. Zach Ertz should be there on 39 but might not be value on that pick. Gavin Escobar is a WR in TE's clothing. Travis Kelce is an interesting option in the 3rd, good two way TE who has a mean streak. Dion Sims maybe in the 3rd or 4th, huge body and a lot of potential but also injury and character concerns. Nick Kasa in the 5th, converted DE who likes hitting people, a bit raw as a pass-catcher.

There are lots of big bodies at TE in this draft. The Jets could come away with two of them if everything falls right.

If the Jets wind up with Keenan Allen or Gio Bernard on the 2nd and say Kelce and Kasa on the 3rd and the 5th the offense will look a lot better than it did last year.

Eifert is not an option. He falls in that Gio range that makes him unattainable for the Jets. #9 is too high for him but he's too good to be sitting there when Jets pick in 2nd round. Personally, I am really liking the Cincinnati guy Travis Kelce.

    ========

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxxDN81kT8A <--- I liked his blocking ability. Seemed to handle himself well blocking on the line, running ahead to block on the 2nd level & going in motion to block almost like a fullback. If he's not already a better blocker than Keller then I think he'll need very little time to surpass him. As a receiver, I think he's got decent hands also.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxu2y1zCRLM <-- UConn isn't a national powerhouse but they've got some decent defensive players. Couple of their LB are projected to be drafted in the middle rounds this draft.

I'd be so happy if Jets pull down Kelce with their 3rd pick. If they reach for him in 2nd round, I'd be OK with it but think there's better options with their 2nd pick.

I like Michael Williams. Great blocker who runs well. I could see him excelling in routes where he releases from blocks. A lot like what the Giants do with their tight ends. Also won't cost too high of a pick it seems.

Travis Kelce is the most complete TE in the class in my opinion

Joseph Fauria is a red-zone monster. Athletic wise, he's not like the first tier of TEs, but he can run excellent routes and he's got great hands. Not to mention he's 6'7.

I echo the sentiments on Travis Kelce. Great all round player.

DC Jefferson (Rutgers) is a player with great blocking and untapped potential as a receiver. Justic Cunningham (South Carolina) is another player I like in the later rounds.

DC Jefferson only had 20 receptions last year and a total of 47 in his 4 years at Rutgers. This is the only video I can find...

I've been hearing a lot of good things about this go on these boards do I finally watched some tape and I think your right. Blocks, catches has some speed and good elsusiveness for a big guy. Where is he projected to be drafted 3rd round?

Dion Sims in the 4th (if he can stay healthy he is a 2nd round talent). Think Gates with with a bit more size!

I like Sims, love Escobar. I think he is the type of red zone threat we have lacked much of the last few years (except the year we had Plax).

We need that 6'5" or 6'6" guy with great hands who can go up and get the ball. Escobar would be that guy for us.

Kelce is a good all around guy, but not great in any one area. He would have been perfect in our old ground and pound mentality, but we need a play maker in MM's offense.
