In this years draft...I think, Tangini will look to put there stamp on the

present Jets & the Jets' future. This years #1 selection will be what

Tangini wants & has determined as Jets' greatest need. Jets' will look to

draft an impact player with the 1st selection. The pick will be not what I

(Joe Fann) want or thinks that the Jets need, but what Tangini sees as

    the Jets need.

Tangini has had a full season to grade & evaluate the team that he has

from very up close. He basically drafted blind last season, being that he

didn't really know what he had as a team.

Don't be surprised if Jets' trade up or down

So with this info, who are Jets' drafting with #1 selection ?

Clue : Has to be an impact player !!!

***I forgot to add WR to poll.....IF you select (WR)......Lets bunch TE/WR together as one for that selection.

I don't think he's putting his stamp with just his first pick, he's already done it.

He's got the team working with HIS defense, overhauled the staff and is starting to form his own coaching chain, and basically given a whole new image to the Jets. I don't doubt for a second we are being considered one of the best up and coming franchises in the league WITHIN the league because of the dynamic duo we call Tangini.

Anyway, I think the picks Justin Blalock. Mangini wants to win the battle in the trenches, and Blalock would do alot to help that, cause we need someone to dominant Wilfork/Seymour/Warren as well as the rest of the league.

If u think like a Coach, it has to be horrible not to be able to run the Football, so our biggest need is a Mauler on that line. The trade for Jones was a good start, but it doesnt solve the core of the problem, leon is a good back, too and he would also have been able to do some damage with a better Runblocking-Line.

    I say we go O-Line

Just 3 more good 1st-2nd round picks and we are set for the next decade, and if u think about the O-Line talent in the draft, i would love to see them going O-Line twice at the 1st day.

Doing a little homework & saying the Jets' don't trade up & stay put at #25 : 1-Blaylock, 2a-DE-Alama Francis Hawaii or 2b-DE-Charles Johnson-Georgia 3-Ramirez/T- Doug Free. Nice later round pick...T- Shackleford of Georgia. He plays well & is not rated high.

I will be shocked if Jets' don't pull some tricky... hanky-panky on or near draft day. Robertson or Vilma, or Ellis could be traded trying to move up to get to DT-Branch ???:shit:

We need an awesome passrusher to help us get off the field on third downs and a solid o-lineman preferably a Guard to help the run game with the first two pics.

Let's hope it's not a mushroom stamp. I went with O-line, we want the Jones trade to look like the coup of the century.

If they really want an impact player then I think they would trade up for Greg Olsen. They don't have enough to go any higher. I don't think anyone else between say 14 and 25 would qualify.

Hey mods there might be a problem with your polling feature on here, as it appears that its recording some people as voting twice, for different selections.

I think at #25, we take the best player available and worry about filling holes in rounds two and three. I think that is goign to be the perfect spot for Justin Blalock and even though it might not fill an immediate need, it will help build our team for the future.

Ideally, I'd like to see something like: Blalock, Alama-Francis, LaMarr Woodley, and AJ Davis/Tarell Brown, but whatever happens, I think we should be able to fill CB, OG and OLB and DE with potential starter quality players on day one.

Stamp kind of sounds like , putting the cherry on top , so for me its way too early to be putting a 'stamp' on the team. If anything his stamp would be his formula and getting the team to buy into that.
Wheather or not anyone agrees with me but we need a terrorist on the D , someone whos going to command alot of respect.
Vilma as we all know deperatley needs help in the middle wheather its by another LB or better a NT. B Thomas improved no end last season and will flouish in the next. Ellis I'm afraid is too ordinary and that is where we need to draft IMO.
