-Home vs. (3-3) Bills -Away vs. (2-3) Chiefs -Home vs. (3-3) Steelers BYE WEEK -Away vs. (3-3) Bills -Home vs. (2-3) Dolphins on Monday Night Football -Away vs. (2-4) Vikings -Away vs. (2-4) Titans -Home vs. (5-2) Patriots -Away vs. (2-3) Dolphins Look at that schedule! All of the "Rex will be fired" articles are ridiculous right now. That schedule does not have a single game the Jets can't win. They already played those games. Packers, Chargers, Broncos, Patriots on 3 days rest. Still competed in some of those games too. No reason the Jets can't get on a roll and make the season respectable. What do you guys think?
Need that win to get confidence. String some wins together and have weeks 16 and 17 mean something. Unfortunately, would mean division is out of question barring a collapse by Pats. Also, with the wildcard Denver/SD will get one and we lost both. Need to beat every team sans Minnesota for realistic chance and to break tiebreakers imo
This is why last nights game was so huge. Pats schedule is a nightmare now but I don't see us winning in arrowhead or sweeping both the bills and dolphins.
I think that we need to lose the next three games in horrific fashion to put the final nail in the coffins of Rex and Idzik. Tired of being sucked into mediocrity. Time to clean house.
Dark Knight, thats the sad part, I was looking at this last night and I was like damn the Jets can win every single game. The most difficult game will be in Arrowhead stadium. I dont see anything special with the Bills or the Dolphins. The Patriots we will beat at home. Steelers are always a pain but I think we beat them. Id say we go above .500 the rest of the way, heck 7-2 would not surprise me but at this point its just not even fun to watch because its all hopeless. The only thing I always hearken back to is that in 2009 we sat at 4-6 and made it in. Im not saying we win the next three games but if we ever could get to 4-6, then I will take these games more seriously....
This. And you realize the fans of Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Tennessee are circling the Jets as wins on their schedules. _
No corners. Marginal Safetys. No receivers who can get open other than Decker and Amaro. JAG Guards. A couple of linebackers slower than growing tree bark. QB who drops 20 yards deep, and holds onto the ball far too long. I see 4, maybe 5, more losses in that schedule if nothing changes. Not pretty.
Everyone in here is right but I am not talking about making the playoffs. At (1-6) that is a long shot. And that is being kind. I am just saying Rex still can keep his job. All 9 of these games are beyond winnable, so Rex still has an opportunity. Geno still has an opportunity to prove he is a good QB. If Rex goes (6-3) in the final 9, is that good enough to stay around with a (7-9) record? Plenty left to be played.
No one said opponents of (1-6) teams are not circling that game as a win. The Jets are just better than a normal (1-6) team. How much better? Hard to say. They could show up and have another San Diego game or 2 in that final 9 games. Play a couple great games too. I think (5-4) is realistic to finish (6-10). Is that good enough to keep Rex's job? Would a (6-3) finish be good enough? That is what I am wondering right now.
Well Chris Johnson is making his return down there so the fans and his former teammates will get up for that game to stop Chris Johnson(who had admitted he has that game circled down specifically) who would like nothing more than to score against his former team.
Hope you enjoy Justin Houston getting to our Quarterback at least 3 times that day. 6 sacks already, boy he can't wait for this game. Hali and Houston will really wow you.
