Lets get the league started! Who is the commish? Should we hold a vote on whether or not to expand to 14 teams? I wanna get registered!
Naich. The reason I havent set the league up yet is twofold. 1. Work has been very, very busy for me and when I get home I dont even want to look at my computer. 2. I have been waiting to see if ESPN or another site will be having free leagues so I can see if it would be better than Yahoo, Once I do get the league set up which will be in the next few weeks I will pm all the returning owners (11) and we will vote on expansion as well as rules/stats of the league. Dont worry, I am fully aware that everyone is stoked about the league and it will be up and running.
I have seen that CBS Sportsline is having free leagues this year as well. the only thing is that you cant set the rosters. That is pre-set. Also head to head is based on points. ex. Head-to-Head Point Values Batting Category Point Value Single 1 point Double 2 points Triple 3 points Home Run 4 points RBI 1 point Run 1 point Base on Balls 1 point Stolen Base 2 points Pitching Category Point Value Win 10 points Save 10 points Complete Game 5 points Strikeout 1 point Base on Balls -0.5 points Inning Pitched 2 points Hits Allowed -0.5 points Earned Runs -1 point Head-to-Head Notes: A team's score is tabulated daily. Pitchers' hitting stats will not generate any hitting points, and batter's pitching stats will not generate pitching points. A player will accumulate hitting stats whether or not he plays at the position designated by SportsLine. (e.g., Darin Erstad is listed at 1B on a Fantasy team's roster and he plays OF in a particular game. His hitting stats in that game will still count towards his Fantasy team's total points.) Only official regular season MLB games will be used to determine Fantasy points. Minor league or exhibition stats generated by your players will not be used. So instead of getting 5 wins in a week you would get 50 points. It is a bit different. btw, you cant change the stats used or the points for those stats. So far I think yahoo is better due to the flexibility of the stats and rosters.
Yeah, I honestly don't have a problem at all with Yahoo leagues. They are fine. I'd honestly rather not have to register an account with ESPN, but if that is what everyone is doing, then so be it.
sorry our league is already established.we are in our second year. you guys should try to set up another league and try to keep it to every day posters.that is why our league was a big sucess.
Yeah, definately keep it to people who are regular posters, not people who will cut and run after the first week of the season.
Yeah, you were in it last year, so you'll get invited back this year for sure. only 2 guys ended up being inactive. That is really good for a fantasy league. That is what makes it fun.
i would like to set this up not on yahoo. i would it to be on a site with live updates. maybe also get divisions and conferences.
I've got one of the TGG yahoo leagues. Whoever joined it, needs to let me know when to have the draft. I'd like to have the draft when it's conveinant for everyone.
I'm just saying, but in the old thread, me, 10P10, and another poster (MSU?) asked to be. Since you are throwing out mcgwire, if the rosters are expanded to 14, someone said we would be the first three in.
