JETS LOOKING TO SWAP WITH SAINTS? There?s talk in league circles that the New York Jets are sufficiently smitten with Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler to prompt serious consideration by the front office of a trade up in the April draft from the No. 4 overall spot to No. 2, which pick currently is held by the Saints. The Jets? objective would be to leapfrog the Titans, who sit and No. 3 ? and who likewise are thought to be thinking seriously about drafting Cutler. The only hitch is that the Saints are believed to be primarily interested in USC quarterback Matt Leinart, who very well could be plucked by the Titans at No. 3 if Cutler is off the board. Stay tuned.
*sigh* Who is ready for the reincarnation of the 2004 Lions? Waste a pick on a quarterback who would never amount in a west coast offense, put him behind an awful offense line and put together a solid defense that could be built up, but is used incorrectly.
damn, well i dunno. I strongly believe that the jets could still get cutler at 4. Vince and Leinart are more established than cutler... way more.... It wouldn't necceserily say that it is a reach to piuck cutler at 4 however if u move up to 2 and 2 of the big three are there, you take the player that has done more. I don't believe this trash. I want cutler more than anyone however until cutler has a mgical day at the combine, he will not leapfrog anyone from the big three. its all about who has done more.
That sounds too weird to be true. The Jets would probably have to give up Abraham to do that move, but I am not so sure it is worth it. I don't see the Titans drafting Cutler at 3, but you never know. I would be pretty impressed if the Jets moved up to 2 just to make sure they got Cutler. We will have to wait and see.
If we trade up for Cutler, I give up. I don't want Cutler to begin with. At 2, we'll either get Bush or Young. Do it, Tanny!
I really doubt this is true. However if the Jets are truely in love with Jay Cutler this move may have to be done. I have been doing some hardcore studying on Jay and I wouldn't be suprised if the Titans wanted to take him at 3.
You would throw a fit if we drafted Jay Cutler? I guess you don't want a franchise QB. Or maybe you wanted the whiny Matt Leinart...
It will be a QB no question. The Jets clearly have their eyes set on Jay Cutler or a QB for that matter.
Sounds like a smokescreen to me. I bet if we do move to #2 its for Leinart, and as long as everyone thinks we are taking cutler with the pick, no team (like the titans) will leap to #1 for leinart
