sure they won but Mangini could have done a better job in the red zone today

Everyone claims that Manweeinie is such a better coach than Edwards and all, but to me he's just Al Groh, the "tough" guy Parcells/Beichek approved of who got that extra year... but who the players hated playing for and whose act wore thin very fast.

There is a reason why the Jets sucked this year and no one seems to want to admit to it. Mangini lost the team. Heck, at least Herm Edwards could point to the injuries when his team went 4-12. Mangini's team was healthy! They just did not play winning football.

It's not all about X's and O's, as Mangini's supporters claim. Edwards motivated the players, Mangini can't. Modern pro football is not a chess game.

Unless Manweenie and Tannenbomb can turn things around next year, I think it will be past the time for them to leave.

The Patriots love playing for Bellicheck and he's a miserable, angry piece of shit. Why? Because they win. That's what motivates players - winning. I think Mangini bought himself enough leeway for another year. Hopefully, they shake up the coaching stuff effectively in the off-season and rebound. But one more season like this and I agree that Mangini will be done.

Mangini really needed a win today to keep his players onboard over the winter.

We'll see what happens in free agency and the draft. A repeat of last year's "brilliant" draft will sink the Jets for a couple of seasons.

I disagree. I think Mangini motivates the players just fine, they never gave up all dismal season. If anything, this year proves that he can motivate. Last year proved he could game plan. Now we just need to see both of them in one year haha.

What is your evidence that Mangini lost the team?

how did he lose the team....they play their asses off every single week....brian billick lost his team, everyone believes in mangini on that squad, no doubt about it....the jets were 3-9 in games that were seven points or less....they got unlucky....he never lost this team

You lost as soon as you tried to say that Herm motivates his players and thus is a better coach??? Have you watched the Chiefs lately? What the hell has Herm ever won? absolutely nothing.

Mangini is pretty much the exact same guy as Bellichik except he's actually more likeable and has a better sense of humor. As soon as he starts winning again players will love him the same way they love Bellichik.

You can bet your last dollar if bellichik was losing he would be hated and everyone would say the players hate him.
