Is there anyone on here who are into SUP (Stand up Paddling)? Any advise for someone who is looking to get into this? I am thinking of getting a board. What should I look for? Where is the best to take these out? Rivers, Ponds, Lakes or Ocean?

I would think the best place to start would be small lakes and ponds which is how I started with canoeing
You don't want to deal with any waves starting out

I would suggest renting a board or several first. See if you like it.
Myself, I wouldn't do anything standing up, if I could do it sitting down. :)

Kayaking is the way I would go. I enjoy canoeing, but @ 14 feet it's hard to manage loading and unloading by yourself. Kayaks are stable, allow a small load and easy to manage and store. You can also use them in rougher water.

Whatever you decide on, small ponds are your best bet starting out. Boat wakes can be challenging for boards, avoid areas that allow them.

I'm not hating on this but if you're going to get into that why not just get a wind board?
