I posted this in the history forum but didn't really get any responses. I am too young to have seen this game and I have never seen a replay so all I can go on are stats. Matt Snell had an excellent game with 120 and a td. Namath looked impressive with around 205 yards but with no TDs. I know Namath was the "star" with the prediction and all that but did Snell deserve the MVP of that game. (I am pretty sure Namath won).. For those of you who saw the game and that season was it just Namath's persona that won him that MVP or did he really have an outstanding game. Thanks for any responses.
If I recall, Sauer had a brilliant game and I thought he should've been MVP (not that I was alive, but I've seen the game). If you really want to see the game, shoot me a PM. I love when people are interested in football history.
Namath was outstanding in that game. Although his guarantee and being the QB obviously helped, I thought he had the best game, with Sauer the next best.
