Studs Flacco - yeah he had a rough outing early on, offense wasn't moving. had a fumble, sailed some balls high. but he still pulled it out at the end of the game and threw for 300+ and 4TDs with no picks garret Wilson - what a stud today. he had a dropped. got banged up and still toughed it through to make the game winning TD catch. also went over 100 and 2 TDs breece hall - 8 touches for 60 yards and a TD davis - didn't play much but had the game sealing INT. Kwon - really good at shutting down outside runs Greg the leg - 1 for 1 on a 57 yard boom plus 4/4 on XPs Mann - solid day punting but also converted 4th down on a fake punt and nailed the onside kick Duds Conklin - yet another fumble. has not been as good as advertised Joyner - looks kinda lost at safety in our defense ty johnson - really has no impact when on the field. 3 targets for 1 catch for 4 yards
Nice. I do expect more out of Conklin. Carter run the ball well. Our two youngsters will be the future at RB. Duds.Run D. We have to do better against the big runners. We got torched Duds. That unsportsmanlike like penalty was totally unacceptable Studs. The O came to play. Studs. Aggressive play calling on O and special teams Studs. Across the board for never giving up. This team has heart.
Studs 1. Garrett Wilson 2. Flacco 3. Greg the leg 4. OL coaching. Think the game plan was awesome to slow down Garrett duds Conklin CJ Mosley Refs Play of the game is Max Mitchell recovery, onside kick, or the long FG. We were the better team and the refs made it hard on us. Glad we found a way.
Hate to be the guy who blames the refs. But not only did they make bad calls, really felt like CLE gets away with a lot of OL holding. That play Lawson got the sack, Quinnen is literally tackled to the ground.
Honorable Mentions Carl Lawson - For his game saving sack late in the 4th quarter Ashtyn Davis - For sealing the Jets Win with a clutch interception in the waning seconds and Justin Hardee for securing the ball after the Jets onside kick.
The Refs were brutal…so fucking one sided…their OL was holding a lot and not one call…how about that catch that they called out of bounds and it wasn’t! Can’t believe replay help it up. and those BS illegal man downfield calls were disgusting too Refs have a hard job no doubt but when they are so one sided it’s just brutal because honestly you can probably call something on every play but seems like they were out to negate as many of our big plays as they could
I missed the replay at the beginning of the game, but the two big calls (pass interference, holding) were pretty small. I could understand the holding call even though it sucked, but the PI call really was one that won't get called against certain teams/players. I will say G Wilson getting pushed out of bounds was the correct call. It's funny because I remember Jets facing the Browns years ago, when the refs were able to call a catch if they determined the receiver would have landed in bounds... Jets tight end, want to say it was Chris Baker, was pushed about 3 feet into OOB and not only did they not call it, they cut to commercial about 10 seconds after the play and the game was over. I was shocked. The next off season they changed the rule to a defender can push the receiver OOB and it's not a catch. So typical.
No not that one…there was a deep out early in the game that would’ve been a first down that was close and they called the right foot out of bounds but it wasn’t … can’t remember who the receiver was I’ll have to rewatch
I would add Jeremy Ruckert. The second time is two weeks he had a costly drop or penalty. Conklin really stunk up the place too. Joyner is worthless.
Our beloved Jets showed a lot of heart on the road. Guys were hurt yet came back into the game to contribute. We were down 13 points with a minute thirty to go... and they pulled a win out of their ass. That goes a long way to building confidence in themselves... crucial with a youngish team. We have talent on this team... and it flashed all game.
Good stuff @GasedAndConfused - Garrett Wilson is a STAR. Listen I feel good when the ball heads his way. The one play where he went up and got his back destroyed, I believe he even came down with that one. There were at least THREE other plays where Wilson was wide open for TD's...he couldn't be covered. The emergence of him will just open up the field. It seemed like the gameplay was to get him the ball...they went with just 2 TE's and went heavy 3 wide. - Mann was the MVP of the game. From the fake punt QB pass, to him punting better (maybe them bringing in a punter scared him straight)...to the onside kick. Hopefully he can stack good performances. - The offensive line struggled initially but they settled in. Garrett gonna do Garrett things but they def gave Flacco more time in the pocket. This Browns defense iirc was top 5 last year and the offense really moved the ball well. Refs screwed the Jets out of some big run plays - Breece Hall. The Jets have some exciting rookies! - I really like LaFleur...it also helps to have the toys like Hall, Carter, Wilson, Davis, etc. - Ashtyn Davis. Listen he caught flak for making the team but he's arguably the team's best ball hawk in the secondary and he showed it again today to seal the win. I feel he will soon take over Joyner's spot. - Reed is a DAWG.
Studs Flacco he did what was needed to win Play calling Hall/ Carter combo Reed was just good all game Special teams overall was amazing Echols he came in when Sauce got hurt and made some huge plays to stop them from scoring a TD Gardner Saleh G Wilson what a stud not much more to say yes he had some drops but the kid has IT Moore thought he had a good game and was the reason Wilson was able to get open Duds Defensive play calling/ Ulbrickkkkkk Joyner idc about stats say he just looks old Whitehead I feel like we just not hearing his name call good or bad so maybe not a dud but expected more from him so far Lawson has to do more for what he gets paid JFM see above
