Studs Echols - only one I can think of really. was a piss poor game for the whole team but he had a nice pick 6 Morestead - another great game by him Duds Coaching - just bad across the board. hackett's offense is too basic and no creativity. that only works if you just out talent the defense. Saleh seems lost and has no energy. I get his point about breece but the issue is we put him and GW in a position where they feel they need a homerun every play or we can't score. thats not sustainable. you need to put together drives. The decision to start boyle either came to protect zach or protect himself from the media. either way it's wrong. boyle offers no upside. it's basically tanking. we know the season is gone as fans but players still want to win and don't care about draft position. O-line - another bad performance from a patchwork o-line. at least tippman looks mostly good so far which bodes well for the future everyone else - basically outside of breece, tippman, sauce, and echols was a dud. even our starts had a rough game. seems like we just gave up
Morstead was busy as usual. Maybe throw him in the stud category. The OL is so bad that it's almost impossible to have a stud WR/TE/RB.
Morstead is pretty much a permanent stud for this team. Morstead and the people who actually sat out there on a Friday afternoon to watch that game are the only studs. Everyone else belongs on the dud list.
Who would you prefer to start? If it's Wilson, are you suggesting there is upside with him still under center?
My only problem with the Hail Mary is that none of the receivers went to the ball. The ball was thrown 50 yards, go to where the ball is. I guess none of them ever played the outfield in baseball. If they were there, at least they could've made the tackle after the INT.
Agreed. Again every is emotional. Boyle threw a 60 yd pass to the 0.5 yd line. It wasn’t underthrown. Most qBs barely get it in there. Offense didn’t show up. Just tackle the guy.
The Jets had strange personnel out there too. At 6'3 and slow, I don't want Tyler Conklin out there for a jump ball. I'm not a big Uzomah fan in general but if you are gonna use a TE on a hail mary, use him, he's 6'7. They also had Gipson out there. Gipson is a 5-9 rookie slot receiver, he shouldn't be on the field for hail mary plays
added morestead. him and greg have pretty much been studs all year except greg missed an XP so couldn't give it to him this time
there are no good options but sadly zach gives the most upside. boyle and simian lack any mobility. and they don't have much of an arm either. as much as zach sucks. had we ran with boyle and simian from the start we likely have 2 wins at best. all 3 are shit but at least zach is shit who can make a play here and there. the others don't give you anything useful
the ball was way short though. boyle doesn't have the arm for it. can't even blame him. we would have been better off with a hook and ladder or just running a screen to breece. at the end of the day, we weren't winning anyway so whats the difference
It is insane but entirely accurate that Morstead is the MVP for the season at this point. I have seen plenty of crap Jets teams before but I don't think I have ever seen anything as dysfunctional and putrid as the offense we have put out the last few weeks.
As much as I don’t like Zach, I think you are right. They ALL suck. The only thing going for Zach is that he has better physical tools than the other two so you’re really trying to decide between Zach with better physical tools but shit field vision and decision making, vs. Boyle with slightly better field vision or decision making but worse physical tools. I would say Siemian is probably similar to Boyle with worse tools but better feel for the game, but in the end, they all three suck Funny that the Panthers today fired Reich after 11 games when they see what their offense is and how their #1 pick is sucking…before waiting three years to fully ruin him, they are making a change. For us, we’re good. Shit QB three years in a row? We’re good here…
