Houston's DEF was stout in the first half and we couldn't get much going, but that TD catch by Stuckey spread the field and put them on notice it's going to be a long day. I've been pounding the table all preseason that we need a big time receiver, but now I'm glad we didn't trade away the farm for a prima donna. Screw it, let's go with what we've got. Stuckey got the ball rolling today and Houston never saw dalight after that TD.
No question about it. The ever-reliable cotchery got the job done too. Let's not forget Keller's contibutions today either.
Exactly, and I'll take "getting the job done" all the way to the 32nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft when we draft a receiver.
I was thinking the same thing, I think he was thrown to once. May be one of those guys that has a 100 yard game one week, then no catches the next. Oh well, big win. I don't care as long as we win. Those receivers sure didn't look pathetic today like the experts said.
Hopefully the Browns pick early so we can trade our 1st, 2nd, Coleman, O'Connell, and Mike Devito for him.
I noticed Sanchez had some people open as he was dumping off to Washington several times. That's okay though, that happens. Overall, I'm fine with all of it today. He'll learn to find guys like Clowney... not to worry.
That first screen pass that he got by himself started the offense and It seems like the ball just stuck to his hands all day.
I was loving his effort on the screen. Waited for the guard to get out in front and then dug in fought for the first. I think we are in good shape with this kid as a #2 for now, but its a long season yet.
