Lost in all the winning is the fact the Jets don't seem to be getting a ton of pressure on the QB and are still giving up too many yards passing. This is what I see as their Achilles' heal down the road. Any thoughts?

they were in Collins' face today. I saw him throw off his back foot and Jenkins collapsed the pocket by himself 3 times... you must not be seeing it.

I didn't expect 5 sacks against that OL today. The one sack fumble was good enough. And it was clutch.

i think the Jets' achilles heel is that they haven't won on the west coast yet this season..and they have two more games out on the west coast to go against 2 teams they SHOULD hammer....but that's also what we said about the Raiders.

It's been inconsistent. Yes, they've gotten in Collins' mug a few times, but there's still a crap load of drop backs where he had all day to throw. Even when the Jets blitzed 5 guys, it was usually snuffed out by Tennessee's O-Line.

I think they struggle against the 49ers and it will remind the team that they are not invincible... that will do wonders for them.

Yea, this isnt' a huge concern at all.

Pace, Thomas, and Jenkins were in Collins' face alot.

Plus, if they gave up 5 sacks today they'd have matched their total for the year.

I saw some pressure, but not as much as earlier in the year. If the Titans didn't drop so many balls they would have had even more yards.

i'm worried about both games (niners & sea chickens)....especially now that SEA has Hasselback back from injury.

These west coast trips haven't been kind to us this season...the Jets need to find a way to solve that enigma.

A lot of the yardage (especially the 4th quarter yardage) was garbage yards. And that one drive where we started dropping into 3 and 4 deep zones with 3 rushed players earlier on, as well. Our defense did extremely well today, you can't just look at the numbers.

The Titans O-line has given up 6 sacks all year, including the one we got today. Nothing is wrong with the pass rush.

One of those games will ground this team and remind them that they can be beat, almost like the Raider effect from before. It'll be another blessing in disguise.

I understand that, but the Jets got a lot of three and outs early on because the Titans kept dropping the ball.

that's what happens when you start utilizing your receivers/TE's midway thru the season....like Tennessee.

Agreed...the WC is a bitch to travel and adjust...those games worry me more than they would otherwise for this 1 reason.

When I look at elite defense I see defenses like Pittsburgh and the Ravens that can stop both the pass and the run. With the Jets they've become stellar against the run, but I don't see nearly the level of play against the pass. Hence, my concern.

Well the Titans have only given up 12 sacks all season so I didn't expect much. I did think we'd sack him once or twice, but credit to the Titans for picking up all our blitzes.

The only concern I have is that they would have had a lot more yard and potentially more points if not for all their drops in the first half.

There were no negatives today less the 5 or 10 minutes Mangini thought he could play prevent defense again. Even he learned a lesson and changed up in time.
