Just heard it from Rex on the post game interview. Easy to see why he didn't play but I'm wondering if this just came up either right before or right after the trip to Cincy. He was only listed with a leg injury during the week. If this is serious enough, we should IR him and pick up Trapasso or another FA.
That is a little more serious then a tummy ache. One hit on the chest during a missed beat can kill you.
Weatherford Illness.... Some were so quick to call him a pussy but he had an Irregular heartbeat. That my friends is a legit reason. Get well dude...we (may) need U Props to Feely.. What a fukin STUD!
According to Rex, they found out during warm-ups. Lame joke by Rex about it. "When they told me it nearly gave me one. It's not a funny thing...well it sort of is."
Agreed. Rex said he was on the field when he heard about it, and said "It gave me one too, It's not funny............but it kinda is" Rofl.
Folks wouldn't have criticized his heart, if they said it was his heart during the telecast. Saying it was an "illness" without explanation (why no explanation if they would state the heart issue afterwards?) is what raised folks' ire. Too many of us remember Joanna Abraham quitting on this team when they needed him most because he didn't want to risk his chance for a big contract during the off season. The best thing about Abraham is that what we got (Mangold) is worth far more to this team than he ever was.
Weatherford Had Irregular Heartbeat In the post game press conference, Ryan said that Weatherford didn't play because of an irregular heart beat. Hope he is OK. You have to give a tremendous amount of credit to Feely today. Field position is key in a winter outdoor playoff game and he came up big in what had to be a tough spot. He is not only a kicker, but is a very good overall football player.
Trapasso signed a future contract with someone this week. Can he get out of that by signing to an active roster?
