It was unclear when Smith was injured. He took a knee to the back in a victory over Atlanta on Nov. 15, but hadn't missed any practice time since. Smith leads Carolina with 45 catches for 599 yards and four touchdowns. Panthers reserve defensive end Charles Johnson didn't make the trip Saturday and will miss his second straight game with a strained chest muscle. Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press
Smith is a pretty tough dude...I doubt sore ribs is enough to keep him from playing. But a guy can wish!

interesting. Revis 1on1 for the entire game. The RBs are the most important thing to stop. Williams and Stewart are the offense. You make Delhomme throw because the Panthers are behind, they will stay behind.
I was looking forward to seeing Revis vs. Smith, oh well it is an advantage for us. Smith is faking the injury because he knows he won't get a catch anyway.
