Does it really matter? I've done both here and I don't really care what other people do. Sometimes I just like not having to click on a link. Here's another article- linked. http://www.kusi.com/home/3815221.html
It does to me. Some of those links drive my pop up blocker nutz for eons. Thanks for taking the time to copy and paste. This quote bothers me: Any average Joe on the street would be doing some jail time.
Hold down on the Control key when you click on a link, it temporarily disables pop-up blocker so you can open links you want to open. (with most pop-up blockers I've seen)
Normally, I'd agree. But reading this story a lot of questions come up. First of all...off-duty. How many beers did this guy have in him himself? Secondly, anyone can say they're a cop and it happens all the time. Once the officer followed him home and see's that the guy at his home and not going anywhere shouldn't he call a squad car? He's going to need it anyway to transport the guy, so wait 5 minutes for the cavalry to arrive. The perp will still be drunk. It seems this off-duty cop tried to be a hero.
Okay, so I did good with you. Next time I'll try to paste the article and provide a link to appease all. Foley attended the Chargers rookie dinner on Saturday night. I believe 1st round pick Antonio Cromartie probably had to pay the entire bill. I would imagine the whole team, or at least most of it, was there. That dinner probably went on for hours and hours. Foley was loaded with champagne and expensive liquor I would imagine. Like a moron he drove home instead of taking a taxi. The cop may very well have been trying to be a hero as Gator wrote. I was in Coronado a few months ago. That is a toney island. I don't think there's a high crime rate there. The cop may have gone out boozin' it up in San Diego himself and perhaps was heading home when he saw Foley weaving. Then it was on all the way up to Poway!
The reason to link is because if you don't at least link, you're blatantly ripping off someone else's work without attributing it. Common courtesy, really. Would you like someone taking your work and passing it off as their own?
Chargers | Phillips likely to take over at OLB (per KFFL) Mon, 4 Sep 2006 17:08:54 -0700 With the loss of OLB Steve Foley (gun shot wounds) for the 2006 season, San Diego Chargers OLB Shaun Phillips is likely to step into the starting lineup. With Foley out for the season, this off duty cop better have followed procedure by the book or he is in line for a major lawsuit. Wonder how much Foley was supposed to make this year.
maybe that should give his salary out to the season ticket holders, even if it's only 3 dollars a head
