So if Smith and Dig are healthy, who do you think our starting two will be?

I say Pool and Smith with Lowery playing on sure passing downs and Dig blitzing.

    Smith and Pool, probably.

Honestly, it depends on who we're playing.

If it's the Chiefs, I'd like to see Eric Smith start to help stop that run. If it's the Colts, I want to take my chances with Lowery in coverage.

Against the Colts who are weak running and obviously a big threat with downfield passing, I hope it's Pool and Lowery, with Smith and Ihedigbo subbing in on packages. I don't trust Smith covering Tamme or anyone else for that matter.

I agree completely, but Smith definitely worries me in coverage.

With Lowery on the field the last few games, big plays have been made.

When did Eric smith make a game changing play besides getting called for pass interference?

If we were going against the Chiefs and their running game, I'd say Smith. This is Manning and the Colts so i'd prefer Lowery who clearly is better a hawking the ball than Smith.

I figure Smith would have to start because he makes the calls in the secondary now that Leonhard's hurt (could be wrong).

now that we know it's the colts, rex will swap an LB (harris or bart) for a 4th/5th saftey/DB on a lot of coverage packages.

Colts are only OK in the run game and manning is suseptable to the corner blitz (coleman).

when we get the colts into 3rd and long, rex will have 5-6 in the backfield and one of them will be blitzing.

Lowery has been making plays all year, in limited opportunities prior to leonhard getting hurt.

Lowery has 2 sacks, 3 ints (2 tds) the fumble recovery against the Broncos. He also had a fumble recovery yesterday. Somehow, Lowery has managed to be the big time playmaker in our secondary this year. He has earned the right to play in the postseason. It might be shocking that Dwight Lowery has more game-changing plays than Revis and Cromartie combined, but he does. Now that he is starting to get a handle on the safety position he could be a defensive wildcard for us in the playoffs

Unless we are looking to injure someone or draw a 15 yard penalty, keep E. Smith off the field.

It will be Smith and Pool, and if anyone comes out it would be Pool.

If yesterday was a must win Eric would've played.
