Opening day, it's will be Ramsey, but when Chad is ready to go, he will start. Unless Ramsey is just kicking total ass, which could happen. Remember Kurt Warner in 99.

Not that the Clemens fans are no where to be found, there is just no way he should win the starting job coming out of camp this year... I'd like to see him not take a snap all season and just learn the system, and really compete next year.

Clemens is the future at QB for the Jets... Penny is all washed up wether he wants to admit it or not, no matter how great a team guy he is, and no matter how great a competitor he is... it's sad, but it will come to fruition sooner than many, including Chad, would like to admit

It all depends on Chad's health. We know the Jets brass does not believe he will be ready to start the season so they went out and got Ramsey for cheap while Clemens develops. In other words they probably prefer Pennington but expect it to be Ramsey...

If Clemens is our D1 starter, we're in bigger trouble then we thought.

I bet you that Ramsey wins the job, then loses it to Pennington say four weeks in.

That's what I think, as well. The only asterick is that it depends on Chad's health at, say, week 4(doubtful IMO) and Ramsey's success in the interim. I think Pat could do well for us but a lot of that is based on the overall suckitude of our QB's(injuries, I know) last year. It's Pats to lose, I think, and if, by some miracle, Clemens shows a grasp of things as yhe year progresses we may see Chad bypassed all toghther.

We needed this poll because the other three in the last month were inconclusive. Plus – now that we’ve been in training camp a while – we can better see who is performing and who is waving towels.

wow... TGG is split about this

    Pennington: 29
    Ramsey: 29
    Bollinger: 2
    Clemens: 4

Personally, i believe Ramsey will be starting either because Penny wont be quite ready, or he'll beat him out in camp. I would LOVE to see Pennington return to full strength, but i dont see it happening. Opening Day = Ramsey. If he can't do anything for the first month or so, and Penny is recovered, he will then take over. Clemens could see some action in the later games (not starting) but some mop up work (blowouts)

ramsey is frickin terrible... pennington will start, blow out his rotator cuff and ramsey will step in and prove that he was never worth the 6th round pick and clemens is going to step in and take it from there
