Who gives a crap at this point? His punishment is that he has to stay in, suck shit, and make a fool of himself. Fuck him. Don't even bother with Vick. He's here this season to clock his time and collect a paycheck
Nope you don't leave him out there to take a beating. He's proven that he's not a starting QB. You either start Vick or you give Simms a shot.
congrats. you've earned a spot on my ever growing ignore list. the next time you make a good post will be the first.
Yep. You want to either A) Salvage the season with Vick. or B) See what you have in Simms (good or bad). Geno should be finished, he's awful.
A game like today should be more than enough for this time to truly come to terms with Geno not being the answer.
Not sure how that's funny. He's light years better than Geno, even with no practice. Salvage doesn't mean go 8-8.
This team is going nowhere so Vick shouldn't be starting any games. The only thing left to do is evaluate players to shape the team for next season. I'd let Simms suit up and compete with Geno in practice for the right to start .
This team is in rebuild mode. And as such you leave no stone unturned. Geno already showed us what he is. I think they should flat out start Simms and let Vick be the backup. Deactivate Geno.
He didn't play well at all today. Clearly doesn't know the playbook that well. He turned over the ball three times and got lucky on the second interception that was called back. His only saving grace today was he got some decent yards on rushes where no one was covering the flat. He's a turnover machine, he can't stay healthy, and his career stats are mediocre at best. Vick is a terrible QB at this point in his career.
I don't often make posts like this but I'm so f'n upset and angry even after an hour later. I don't want to see Geno anywhere near the offense ever again. We know what we have in Vick (who at this point is marginally better than Geno) and if he can shake the rust off his wheels might get us another few wins. Simms could also see some snaps as well. The cohesion on the O line has taken a beating too and all the timing and camaraderie is shot to pieces. Amazingly I'm still onboard with Rex, I just want to see him with a QB who is at least half decent and a GM who gives him the tools to do the job.
Heh, don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing with that stance. Terrible or not, he's better than Geno. Reason I said "salvage", Rex is still coaching for his job. Unless the FO tells him to start Simms, I think Rex will try to salvage what he can. Sadly, there is no answer on this roster. To make matters worse, they forced way too much to Harvin today. Either the coaching staff really wanted to involve him, or the talent on this team is so bad that the QB's were trying to find a guy that doesn't even know 5% of the plays (which was evident with the lack of timing and/or wrong route running). Either way. It's an abomination. I was thinking 4-12, but I could see 3-13....maybe worse.
