Rosenhaus is always throwing the Jets in as interested parties, I'm not sure we're in this one to be honest. He's already stated he wants a starting position, and he's obviously going to want a good chunk or change. I don't think we can guarantee him either of those things. With the draft we had and picking up Landry do we still go after another SS here? If we sign him is Jimmy a goner? http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...eam-in-next-24-hours-20120517,0,4516560.story
We don't need another strong safety. We need a free safety at this point. A play-making free safety would be great but somebody who can reliably cover the over-the-top duties is a necessity.
I hate to say it,but I dont think Jim Leonhard plays another down of football in the NFL. Hes a young guy and I doubt he wants to go through life disabled from yet another injury to the same leg. No way in hell.
Following him on Twitter it really sounds like he's been rehabbing hard. He thinks he's got another go in him, So long as a team will take him. Jim Leonhard @jimleonhard - May 9 I'm like the Floyd Mayweather of rehab. #undefeated #undisputed. Jim Leonhard @jimleonhard - May 4 My knee felt so good running today, I almost scared myself. In my mind I looked like @quice.
You guys may recognize him. He was the guy trailing Dustin Keller when he had big games against Miami. LOL But on a serious note he is a good leader, great tackler, average in coverage, average in playmaking given how much he is around the ball.
CIMINI:Yeremiah Bell's agent tells So. Fla radio station that former Miami S will sign in nxt 24 hrs. He worked out for #Jets, Phil, KC, Tenn. I could see KC, I feel like everyone is going there this offseason but hey we have a 25% chance.....I see KC, Tenn, Jets, than Philly in order. But I hope he goes to jets. We did draft 2 S so that is a little confusing.....
If that means Eric Smith is back to being a backup, I'm 100% behind this. I just hope we can develop a free safety because we still need one.
LOL He became a bit of a cult hero among some, including me for a while, because he had some extraordinary plays. We had a game where he chased down Jamaal Charles from behind and another where he caught Deangelo Williams both in full out sprints. If I can find the videos I'll post them.

It's troubling that your 'highlight' is of him running down a RB after a 75 yard gain. As a SS, Shouldn't he have been in position to stop him at 10-15 yards?
Your title fooled me. Thought the JETS signed him before reading on. However, not interested in this signing. Old and slow.
Not necessarily. BTW I'm not arguing anything here so you can take what you want out of it. I just thought you guys would like to see the video.
Well, he can't be slower than Eric Smith. Even Jason Peters on his roll-a-bout is faster than Eric Smith.
