Yeah, it's pretty obvious that the Pats had all the angles covered and were stretching the boundaries all over the place by 2006. The NFL coverup is the dead giveaway here. If it had been just a bit of rule stretching the NFL would have laid it out there for everybody to see so that it was clear that the Pats Super Bowl wins were not tainted.

The coverup tells us that the dynasty itself was probably established on very mucky ground.

It is interesting to see how quickly Goodell threw a blanket over this scandal and destroyed all the evidence before there could have been any independent investigation of what took place. The full scope of bellichik's fraudulent operations were never fully investigated or defined and the Pats rec'd little more than a spanking. Contrast that with the supposed bounty scandal and Goodell's over the top reaction that is now being severely questioned by a US Dist. Court Judge. Interesting to see Vilma challenge the Commish on this and see a Federal Judge seemingly indicate that she thinks Vilma makes some excellent points.

Gotta agree with the spanking part. NE lost what amounts to a first found pick and NFL pocket change. The Jets simply by virtue of having Mangini at HC, lost two first round picks.

    Jon Vilma and Vernon Gholston.

Sounds like he's arguing mostly that the Patriots unusual success over such a sustained period is itself evidence that that success is a byproduct of cheating. Kind of circular reasoning. Looking forward to reading it, though.

It is pretty amazing about how their assistants and coordinators always come out of nowhere, have great success, leave and fail miserably elsewhere.

They must have found a new way to cheat as that success has continued past the "cheating era".

Although I think Belichick is legit and Spygate should not taint his legacy, I don't cares if it does because he fucked my team over. Fuck him, enjoy your AIDS, spy-boy.

It also sounds like Patriots apologists have redefined their idea of the term 'success' since the cheating ended along with their Super Bowl wins.

I would think that if this book had anything earth shattering in it, all the national media would be all over it!

The guys a statistician with no inside facts to add.

Just something for those who want this to be as bad as they hoped for to cling to.

BTW, the book isn't coming out, it's already out. Can buy it on Amazon. Yet it isn't even making a wrinkle in the media.

I was always wonder how Matt Cassel who was drafted in 2005 / Round: 7 / Pick: 230, spent his entire Trojan career as a backup behind Palmer and Leinart, had an 11 - 5 his first year when Brady went down.

    The author's bio is impeccable...

Bryan O'Leary is a first time author and die hard NFL fan.
He has over 20 year's experience in the money management
arena, currently creating commodity trading strategies. Married
with three daughters, O'Leary lives in the Dallas, Texas area.

The guy gathered up all the old stories that anyone could find on the interweb, did a couple of statistical calculations and pulled a theory out of his ass.

Many folks at USC felt Cassel should have started over Leinhert. Even Pete carroll said it was a coin flip.

How can you guys be so sure about the worthiness and content of a book you've never read?

Next you're going to tell us that you know what was on tapes you've never seen.

I just went to his home page. Listen to the interviews. he has nothing new.

Book has been out long enough that if there were anything explosive in it, the TV and radio would be saturated with it.
