Maybe 5 yrs ago. Not our answer. PPL on here are looking at next season like it is SB or bust. If we can develop and improve next season then we all should be satisfied . Sproles has maybe a yr or two left in his tank.
I'm hoping Goodson comes back healthy as he's younger but having a Sproles coming out of the backfield isn't such a bad thought
I been saying i want Sproles or DeAnthony Thomas. We need this kinda playmaker out of the backfield. IDC how much he as left in the tank. im ready to be back in the playoffs. Not saying he's our missing key piece , But what we need is playmakers badly.
What difference does it make if Sanchez is QB? Geno (or Simms, or Freeman, or Manning or whoever) can benefit from good RB. The question is whether his price / talent warrant bringing him in, identity of QB is irrelevant.
Well I would bring him in for Geno to, Im not sure why I said Sanchez. Sproles can be very helpful for either.
Its definitely surprising that the Saints cut him. Sproles will be 31 next season but he's the exception to the rule. Squarely in his prime still. For $3.5 mil (2013 salary) the Jets better be all over him. Instant game changer.
wow, i didn't see that coming. Sproles has been a terror to opposing teams in NO. Single season all purpose record holder with 2,696 yds. I've been hoping we sign a guy like McCluster, who i see as a poor mans Sproles in some respects. So of course i'd want Sproles himself. He was only making 4.3mil on his 'big' contract with the Saints, and was cut due to their total lack of cap space. find out what it'll cost Idzik! could be a bargain. fwiw, the Saints reduced Sproles snap count quite a bit as last season went on. he was a little dinged up at times, which was likely the reason, but also needs to be looked into. It's not like we don't have a connection down in NO
I still have a lot of hope for Goodson, who was electric albeit in his extremely limited time last season. Perhaps having him clean up his legal issues and stay healthy is a lot to ask, but I think he has the potential to make a big impact if these two factors are met. I'd be open to Sproles, but only at a very cheap price, though this probably isn't realistic. I'd rather see the team go after a RB in the middle rounds such as Charles Sims or James White to team with the three RBs currently on the roster.
No doubt I'd want to go younger but Sproles catching balls out of the back field adds another great dimension to the offense as we saw when LT was here
this is horrible news i see him signing with the pats and giving us biannual shit fits for a number of years
