If we passed on Jarrett, Houston, Olsen, Spencer and Blalock for McCauley, I don't even know what I'd do, but I'd be insanely upset.
couple things..... if carriker escapes the top 20...the jets will be on the phone i would think...but IMO there is no way he gets past the steelers. no way. and if olsen AND blalock are both on the board at 25 they will also be on the phone with the bears and saints. if blalock is not picked at 25 or by the ravens he may escape into round 2. if he is our guy than they may just play it right sliding down 7-10 spots. jil
Boldin, Fitzgerald, Edge and Peterson in Arizona. This is one powerful Offense Aundrae Allison to the Chargers while Jarrett is still on the board? I don't think so.
Browns taking Joe Thomas is quite a suprise too. Everyone seems to have Peterson penciled in at the number three. That would really shake things up huh?
I would turn off the draft and be pissed off for the rest of the weekend if we passed on Olsen for McCauley. He won't be drafted until the second round.
Yeh I wouldn't worry about that happening, I am not a fan of Olsen, but I could almost guarantee that McCauley does not go in the first round
McCauley is being projected as a safety by a lot of the draft sites. I never saw him play so I have no opinion on his merits, but I'd much rather have Eric Weddle than him if we decide to go with a safety.
The guy writing this draft is on drugs. Carriker will go in the top 12 at worst, Okoye won't fall to 13, Peterson, they say today re-broke his collar bone and may need surgery. He will fall. And the Jets will never take McCauley if any of those others are still on the board. Hell, they won't take him there if none of them are on the board.
This draft is one of the most ridiculous I've seen this offseason. Tanard Jackson, McCauley, Ugoh, and Allison in the first? Charles Johnson in the mid-first AHEAD of Carriker, Spencer, and Moss? Not to mention Leon Hall to the Vigings at 7 is a poor, poor value choice.
Talk about placing too much value on players certain players. Just one to name -- Aundrae Allison will be lucky if he gets RD2 value.
