As of 12/3 the Jets would be drafting 10th as they are the worst 5-7 team in the NFL. http://nfl.si.com/2013/12/01/nfl-draft-2014-order-houston-texans-week-13/ Jets remaining schedule vs #7 Oakland @ Carolina @ #8 Cleveland vs Miami Out of the other top 10 teams other than Minnesota thanks to their tie, the Jets own the tiebreaker as of now over everyone except Oakland to whom they lose to in SOS. Jets would beat everyone else on SOS except Cleveland whom they would beat on conference record. http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/playoffs/sort/strengthOfSchedule/order/true Losses to Oakland & Cleveland should drop the Jets to at least the 8th pick. Jets can get the #1 pick without tiebreakers if this scenario happens - http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/mac...1222014~1~331229018~2~331229017~2~331229011~2 Highly unlikely but it could happen. Week 14 teams to root for: Houston over Jacksonville as we need them to win all 4 remaining games to prevent any tie-breaking losses Cleveland over New England as Cleveland needs at least two out of 4 and helps lower the SOS(1 win - 2 losses) Tampa Bay over Buffalo as Tampa needs to win 3 out of 4 to reach 6 wins and also lowers SOS(1 win - 2 losses) Rams over Cardinals to get St. Louis to 6 wins thus knocking them out. Broncos over Titans, Packers over Falcons - SOS help Vikings over Ravens - Vikings need two wins to finish at least 5-10-1 and Ravens loss helps SOS Redskins over Chiefs - Redskins need 3 out of 4 to reach 6 wins.
Jets are home against Cleveland and at Miami. I think they can beat both the Raiders and Browns. Maybe a split is more realistic at this point but the Jets are 3-2 at home and I think both the Raiders and Browns will be dogs coming in. The game in Carolina would take a miracle. The Fins week 17 is a black hole game. No idea what will happen.
we just get our arses handed to us by the fins - i think we can pencil in a L - especially if they have some post season slot on the line.
I wouldn't be so sure about the Raiders or Browns games. The Raiders are probably their best chance but they have extra time to prepare. They can stuff the run and aren't really that far off.. they've played a lot of close, hard fought games. Their weakness is pass defense and if we had an air attack to take advantage, I'd think we have it, but yeah.. Right now I'll give the Jets a win against the Raiders in a low scoring, ugly game. The Browns game isn't happening though. They have a good defense and might very well shut our Jets out. We don't have anyone to cover Josh Gordon and Cameron might have a field day underneath. We don't match up well with them. 1-3 the rest of the way. 6-10.
i see u have 23 posts to date so a bit wet behind the ears  if the jets somehow get into the top 3 (even at 5-11 thats remote), forget #1, this site would blow at the seams. it will make the last 3 weeks look like a cupcake.
man clearly that would fall into the mantra of picking a QB until we get the ONE. easier said than done when u have so many deficiencies.
That's why you follow up drafting the QB with WRs, TEs, offensive lineman in the draft. Get as much depth on offense as possible.
As much as it would suck, I wouldnt be shocked if the Jets lost out. The offense is playing with no confidence and you can see that it is taking its toll on the defense. That would mean the Jets could finish anywhere from 4-10ish in the draft. I know everyone generally hates the idea of trading up, but I would consider it, for the right price of course. If the Jets are closer to 4, I would seriously consider trying to get Bridgewater. It'll probably cost a ton so I'll say that wont be a possibility. With the Jets first round pick, I say they go with the best receiver on their board, who I assume is Evans or Watkins. After that, I would serious consider packaging their second and one third to move back into the first and get on of the premiere TE's. I'm not nearly as informed about draft prospects as a lot of you, so I wont pretend to act like I know more than I do. But for the rest of the draft, the Jets need to address OLB/S/CB/OL. And with a late round compensation pick, you can once again try for a QB. Basically bolster the offense big time. Sign a free agent WR to go along with the draft picks. Give Geno/Simms/Veteran QB an opportunity to succeed with a vastly improved offense. If they suck (which is possibe) you know what direction to go with the following year. I also think there is some talent currently on the Jets practice squad that will get an opportunity to compete next year. Namely, Troy Davis and Rontez Miles, two positions of need.
Matt Ryan dropped to the 3 pick. It wouldn't be completely out of the question for Bridgewater to do the same. If one of the sophomore QB's declares that throws an entirely different monkey wrench in to the works. Who knows who the top teams will view as the more exciting prospect? 1. Texans - Jadaveon Clowney 2. Falcons - Anthony Barr 3. Jaguars - Marcus Mariota And boom you have Bridgewater on the 4. 4. Buccaneers - Jake Matthews And away we go.
you need to wake up if you actually think this your just posting whatever is convenient for the jets! lmao cmon dude
