I saw this scenario play out in a few recent mock drafts and wanted to see what y'all would do in this.
The first 3 picks are all edge (Hutch, KT, Walker/Johnson). Where would you go with the 4th pick -- if we couldn't find a trade down partner?

Ekwonu, trade down or Gardner. It largely depends on what the trade market for Becton looks like.

All the top Edges won't be gone by pick 4. Odds on that are extremely low.

If we got there and they're all gone and we cannot trade down for some reason then Gardner is probably the pick.

Normally I’d go with Sauce as I think an EDGE is available at 10 but I’ve come to accept we’re trading 10 to get a WR. With 10 off the table and no trade down available, I’m grabbing JJ/Walker

Trade down is the absolute best option in that scenario.

If you can’t find a partner to trade back… I’d take sauce as he is the safest pick and fits Salah’s defensive scheme perfectly. Then take a WR at 10 (Burks). Then trade up for Boye Mafe at the back end of the first round.

I would take Ekwonu, have a repeat of my 2009/2010 OL.

Grab Karlaftis at 10 and trade pick 35 and 111 to get back into middle of first round for Burks.

Should still be able to get another blue chip player with pick 38, 4 solid players that can help this team immediately.

This scenario really scares me. But, it all depends on who the FO values at edge? How highly do they value Walker, Johnson and Karlaftis and do they think an edge they want will be there at 10?

I know they love Ekonowu and OT and along with edge are likely the FOs highest valued positions. How do they view Walker? He has beyond the chart athleticism that JD seems to value but he lacks a history of production. My guess is the pick at 4 would be either Walker or Johnson if they cannot trade back.
