I am here in Miami catching alot of grief over this Revis situation. I must admit that its starting to worry me now. This season has been setup to be a special one. I love our team. Everything is in place, players are happy, except Revis. Why now? Why me Lord? Why can't we either work something out with him or have him play out his contract. Didn't we front load his contract? He received most of the money already. This is starting to worry me and this can in deed ruin a promising season. Go Jets!

Woody and Tanny should have seen this coming. After giving boat loads of money to free agents brought in from other teams with big signing bonuses etc. what did they expect? Revis is a Jet, drafted, tested, and proven. After what happened to Leon...I dont blame him. its not impossible to see him at KMart one day loading a bike into your mini van cuz he had a career ending injury. He better get paid or hold out until he gets the money or is traded to a team that will pay him. i woldnt practice a down until my future and the futrue of my family is secured. look at todays economy. Teachers are getting jacked for their scheduled pay increases in NJ and furloughs are affecting the lives of many in our state. dont tell me money dont talk. it talks, walks, eats, uses the bathroom and works everyday.

He's made tens of millions of dollars already. It's not like he is living in poverty.

Tony Dungy is on WFAN with Boomer and Carton and made a good point about the 1985 Bears. LB Al Harris and S Todd Bell held out for the entire season and the Bears were able to replace them with Wilber Marshall and Dave Duerson and went on to have the greatest season for a defense. So, just because this is going on with Revis doesn't mean it will necessarily derail a special season.

But did the defense revolve around Harris and Bell, like it did Revis. And thats a serious question, I have no clue about the 85 Bears. We run our defense, because Revis allows us to.

Usually a 1-1 matchup on ur #1 receiver is an edge to the receiver. Not with Revis. So I get that a defense usually isn't controlled by one player, but without Revis, you have to admit that our entire scheme would have to have a slight makeover.

Buddy Ryan had said that Todd Bell was the centerpiece of that defense.

maybe we get more INTs without revis.. remember when 77 went down... we filled that position pretty well.

I see revis holding out season.

It'll make the run tougher but I have faith in Rex.
I think either way our season could be special. So far the offense sounds like it's been doing great.

Rex is glowing about how much Mark has progresses, even from the playoffs.

Conner is plowing through LB's, and the receivers have been catching bombs.

Clowney just caught what would've been a 80 yard TD. Bring on the season with or without Revis. (preferably with)

I hate to say it but this one is on the Jets. The Jets approached him at the end of last season and told him he outplayed his contract.

Revis also said they told him they want to make him the highest paid CB, if that was said I'm sure they meant total value and not just the yearly salary.

I would much rather get a contract for 5 years at $10 million then 2 years for $15 million.

Who got Boatloads of money??????.... I hear this from Miami fans or people not in the know but, the Jets didn't pay out boatloads of money, the signed guys with deals upcoming and older, hold the fort guys on the cheap....

They let go of guys like TJ and Faneca to save every penny for Revis....

They would have loved to spend boatloads on a Brandon Marshall - They coudn't, instead they signed Holmes CHEAP for a year and Edwards is CHEAP for a year.....

So would I, if that 5 years meant anything. But the way NFL contracts work that five year contract could be ripped up after a weak if it's not fully guaranteed.

Think about it, in the NFL nothing is a guarantee. So if you can get 50 guaranteed over 30 wouldn't you want that?

Ridiculous.... I heard Michael Kay railing on about this....

What If Kay was making 1 Million a year and he was out drinking one night with his boss who says" You know what Kay... You bring in a ton of money to the station, YOU are the Howard Stern of Sports talk radio... We're gonne get you some more $$$$$"....

What should Kay do.... "WHHHOAAA, I"M HOLDING OUT!!!!!! I'm staying home till I get a contract like Stern for 50 million.... That's IT, it's out there, you opened the box, I'm ripping up my contract, I want MORE MONEY NOW!!!!"

I'd say, "Dude, you're insane, Here's another 500k... You're welcome. now GET BACK TO WORK SCHMUCK"

Revis is being a Huge Baby IMO and his people are scum.

Give him 1 year, $25 million. That'll hold him over for a year.
