Maybe there isn't a viable option at 6 for an influx of talent along the line. But can one of you draft nicks name a few 2nd, 3rd, 4th round prospects you see can come in and compete. Need to get younger and more talented before we get to where we need to be.

A guy I like a lot that's been dropping down the public boards is Josue Matias, guard. He'll most likely still be on the board in the 3rd, possibly as late as the 4th.
A late round pick I like (in the Jets case this year is the 7th round since they have no 5th or 6th this year) is Jarvis Harrison. in the 3rd or 4th Jamil Douglass would be a good guard choice.

As far as tackles go after the first round? Ty Sambrailo should be avail as late as the top of the 3rd. Donovan Smith as late as the 4th, and Corey Robinson. He might be a bit of a reach in the 4th, but he'll be gone by the 7th most likely. If the Jets could trade back with a 3rd or 4th round pick and get a 5th that would be ideal to get Corey I think.

Those are just the guys I think would be plus draftees 3rd round or on.

Matias and Harrison I think are terrific answers. Matias is my favorite guard in the draft, and if Harrison makes it to the third day you're getting yourself a steal.

    I
I'm having a tough time deciding where Harrison is going in the draft. Almost every draft site lists him as a 6th or 7th round pick but I think he'd be a good pick as early as the 4th. Then again Guards are probably the most disregarded position other than Kickers and punters when it comes to draft day.

These are the guys that I like in that range:

    OG:
Josue Matias, FSU (2nd at worst talent IMO, but as '68 said looks like will go 3rd -- I also think he could be a RT FWIW)
Laken Tomlinson, Duke (I think 3rd, but looks like he will go 2nd)
    John Miller, Louisville (3rd)
    Tre Jackson, FSU (5th)

    OT:
Jake Fisher, Oregon (2nd, but I think either he or Morse will end up being Kelly's mad scientist 1st round pick)
Mitch Morse, Missouri (I'd have no qualms to take him in the 3rd round but most seem to think 3rd day -- has started at LT, RT, C)
    Donovan Smith, Penn State (4th)
Rob Havenstein, Wisconsin (5th -- RT)
Jarvis Harrison, Texas A&M (5th -- A&M moved him from LG to LT and put Ogbueghi at RT because he was so good)

Those are the guys I like at guard and tackle after the 1st. All those guys have the ability to compete right away IMO. Deep OL class.

Another name that hasn't been mentioned is AJ Caan from South Carolina. He is an OG that should be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round.
