I'm sorry, I like Tom and his wife but if his a****** coach is going to run up the score in the snow to 59-0, then if I'm the opposition I'm taking a cheap shot and a penalty (even an ejection) and plastering Brady to the floor. Next time the Pats try this s***, I hope the opposing coach puts in his #6 or #7 DL or LB and tells him to just nail Brady the next time, even 3 seconds after the pass has left his hand. Just flatten him. I'm not a Pats hater and I'm not a Titans fan, but Belichick strikes me as the lowest-class sleazebag to have entered the NFL since Al Davis.
If you don't like them running up the score, stop them. This is the NFL, not pee-wee football where everyone gets a trophy. Of course, you put your QB at risk when you do this, but that's your choice.
Absolutely.....he keeps the QB in there when it's a 5-plus TD game and less than 30 minutes left, I take the SOB out. Belichick is the lowest sleazebag around. I mean, come on, who would be throwing the ball in the snow up 40 or 50 points besides that moron ??
That's their gameplan. They have no run game. I thought Brady should have sat after halftime. He played one more series. They could have gone for the record and opted not to. It sucked more that they were able to run it up that much. I had little problem with how long Brady played.
If you're not a Pats hater, you are just a loser. There is no such thing as running up the score. Everyone was talking about how bad Brady was and how the Pats are done, and now all of a sudden people are crying again. I can't even call the Pats bullies now because of how whiny people are being. You really think it's sleazier to intentionally injure someone and ignore the rules of the game, than it is to score points? Really? Hey you know what every team in the NFL should do? Grab a bunch of machine guns and just shoot the other team before the game, that way they can win easily! Stupid. Really stupid. I remember the Jets nearly losing 2 games last year after building up big leads because they figured the game was over.
I have to laugh, the rap on Brady all year is that he does not have his timing down with his wideouts. Where else can he work on that? Practice is not game conditions. He played the first series of the second half and he was gone. They also took 3 knees at the end of the game. You dopes get the team you deserve. Look forward to BB running up the score on the Jets 11/22.
Pats got the 2nd half kickk-off. Brady plays one series, they score an easy TD, and he sits the rest of the game. What's the big deal? As far as throwing the ball late in the game... how else can they find out if they have anything with Hoyer (the backup). It's funny how folks make shit up to hate about. How is this Jets related?
thank you....cut the whiny shit...this is the pros not high school football...you don't want them running up the score...make a fuckin play
I guess I'm a foreigner so will never understand this unwritten mercy rule that seems to exist. IMO, if you are good enough go ahead and run up that score until the game ends. I'd love the Jets to beat an opponent 59 - 0. I'd like it even more if it was 99 - 0.
The Titans were the ones running up the score. They did not give a shit and I wish they kept Brady to try and score 90. What the Titans did yesterday was a disgrace to the NFL, they stopped trying after the first quarter and it was obvious. If a team doesn't show up like that it deserves to get embarrassed.
Oh shut the fuck up... they have an undrafted rookie free agent as their backup and it was a game in the snow... maybe they want to give him some real NFL experience and prevent Brady from getting hurt in inclement weather?
They left him in for one series in the second half, then they didn;t kick field goals that they could have in the second half. If the Patriots had wanted to run up the score they could have hit at least 80 maybe even 100. Their offense has been out of synch all year as brady comes back from the injury, it makes sense to let him get some rhythm going before putting in hoyer to get the rook some reps.
The thread starter obviously did not see much of the Titans-Patriots game. The Patriots did not do anything unethical. If they tried to run up the score, the final score would have been at least 73-0. I'm sick of fellow Jets fans whining about everything under the sun. Enough already.
I suppose Belichick could have told his offense to take three knees and punt in the second quarter... Oh, wait a sec. That would have been insane. I'm glad to see most people have this in its proper perspective, but for the OP... how does a team "run up the score" in the first half? There's an unwritten rule that says that whatever you can do in one half, you do. Brady came out with about 11:00 to go in the third and the Patriots ran the ball for over 200 yards. I understand your predisposed animosity but how can you call that "running it up?"
