might really have been BPA at that pick waaaay down in the 6th. Wild card- you never know how a guy like this could develop. With Vick and Geno all on the roster- think its a very good developmental situation for a guy like that.

He's a third string guy and as much as I dislike him he's better than Matt Simms. Its always a good pick when you find a guy in the late part of the 6th round that will make the team.

It's a 6th round pick, Jets probably don't think all that highly of Simms. They'll battle it out for the number 3 QB spot during the PS. What's the problem?
I think they look at this like it provides competition for Matt Simms at QB3, and whoever wins, wins. Maybe he spends a year on the practice squad, moves up to # 2/3 QB when Vick leaves after a year, and you have the versatility of him being a physical player who can do some things. Woody luvs Rex + Idzik has to deal with it = Taj Boyd. Rex can be so agressive on D but on O ,Heavy running Wildcat, short passes .Conservative on O . I hate the wildcat and everything it stands for.
