Here is the 1st TD. it's a HB toss out to the left. Great play design against the defense called. You'll see great blocking. hat on a hat. Mims does get away with a little block in the back but it was minor. his blocking wasn't great but he did get in the way of a defender which wound up sealing off one side. it was mostly AVT on the lead block sealing off the inside and kroft on the outside that made this happen. You can see we are playing man with the motion After the snap. Q instantly beats his man with a swim move and pushes him aside. We are manned up. basic cover 1 defense. 4 rushers 2 zone players in the middle (maye and mosley) that means burrow should be looking outside on the 1v1s to see if any of his WRs win. Here the LG recovers a little but QW has him beat badly still. he's just trying to delay Q as much as he can. it distracts burrow who is looking at Q and only on the inside route which hasn't developed. He has a shot at an open WR to his right he doens't see however it's risky becuase mosley is in the throwing lane and watching burrows eyes. Now burrow has to try to escape. he lost his timing chance due to pressure. he's looking in front but it's risky with both zone players eyeing him and moving towards the 1 open man. Q also has him by the leg. he could have tried a risky pass here but doesn't and i'm not sure why since it's 4th down. Q takes him down after that. This was a simple play where it was really Q just disrupting the entire play by himself and solid coverage all around. _______________________________________________________________________
Here is the play to crowder which sadly ended in a fumble but. Here is the presnap. Cincy is showing zone blitz. ^ possible rushers against our 5 lineman. The reason I say zone blitz and not man is because literally nobody is lined up on crowder. that makes you think someone is gonna crash down in a zone on him. it could also be a man blitz or a fake and someone blew an assignment. either way it's a hard read pre-snap. All logic would point to a zone blitz so he has to watch the edge backing off to get a zone near crowder and bringing just 5. After the snap we see it's a fake zone blitz. the 2 inside possible rushers back off and 4 lineman come. this playcall is just great. the inside guys have 0 chance to recover and be in the play. we are basically playing 9v11 at this point. white was smart and seen it and was watching crowder. he sees the DE rush so he knows crowder is open and just needs a window. he also knows the LBer can't get to him in time. Now he has options. the throwing lane opened up thanks to a good block by the LT (think it was still fant at the time) o-line gives a great pocket. the right side of the field is covered but the left is wide open. he can pump it to crowder then hit the outside guy deep or take the wide open crowder. white is smart and efficient and takes what the D gives him and is throwing to crowder already Ball is delivered on time and in a great spot and crowder has a ton of room for YAC. Just a great playcall and a smart play by white ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Here is the kroft TD We go 4 Wide 1 TE. it appears to be a basic man cover 1 pre-snap. After the snap we see that is correct. nothing fancy here. 4 rushers 5 in man and 2 zone watching the middle of the field. pocket is great. white is looking right towards moore on the outside running what appears to be a deep out or a go and crowder in the slot who appears to be running a slant and is winning a little but can't throw it due to the LBer in zone. 2 players won their routes. kroft blows by the LBer with a nice fake and the other slot (cole?) wins on a curl. he has 5 yards on the curl but croft is coming open for a TD easily. white pulled the safety to the right with his eyes and the left side was wide open for whoever won which in this case is kroft Then we see this Bull rush gets into whites face but he sees croft and fires for the easy TD. good execution and nice job by white being patient and going through progressions and good job by kroft winning his route ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you guys have any other plays you want broken down let me know
