Finally!!!! Ive been saying it all year..we blitzed and blitzed A LOT. We may give up a play or two, but we are causing turnovers, getting sacks, and keeping the opposing QB confused. THis is what the 3-4 should look like...good game D and nice calls Sutton
That honestly looked like the Carolina Panthers in terms of blitzing...I don't remember a Jets team who has knocked down Brady so much, including 4 sacks. It was great to watch and the defense played very well today, much props.
while some of the credit no doubt goes to the weather, the defense finally played big...glad to see we didn't waste the bye week, didn't come out flat, and had a great gameplan
Don't forget they blitzed every down on that 31 second TD drive by NE. Sometimes you get burnt as well.
Yeah you get burned sometimes, and I disagreed with that call. I know we should still be aggressive, but on the Pats first play when they have to score quickly, it would've been much smarter to play a cover four and rush only 4 guys...maybe on the second play do an all-out blitz. I just wouldve let our defense settle in real quick against Brady before blitzing him like that.
