Dwight is out for the year; www.rotoworld.com says it'll be McCareins, but what do they know? Who do you guys want it to be and who do you really think it'll be?
Okay, lets be serious now guys. This is a serious topic of discussion; having a good punt returner affects field position which affects winning and losing. Do we go with McCareins?
Well Dwight didnt impress me much this year. I thought he was going to do pretty good this year based on preseason. Miller cant seem to learn how to catch punts. I would love to see him returning but you need to be able to catch the punts. Muffed punts can turn the tide of a game. Did Washington return punts at FSU? I cant remember. I would like to give him a shot a returning punts though.
I'd rather have someone back there that i know is going to catch it rather than risk it with a guy who may be a gifted returner but can kill momentum with muffs. I think JMac would be the best option.
Jmac has returned for us. He is awful. He will not cough it up but has zero return skills. I do not know if Miller can field punts. he catches the Kickoffs with his hands up by his face. I havent seen anyone else field kickoffs like this. With a punt, you pretty much have to basket catch it. I believe that is what Miller had trouble with last year. He cant be fielding punts up by his face.
