Rounds 1 (#6), 2 (#37) and 3 (#70)--no trades, who would be your ideal picks? Relatively attainable and not who you think we're going to pick, who you want us to pick. After that it gets a bit murky. Round 1--Marcus Mariota Round 2-- Have to hedge this one--Dorial Green-Beckham (if he slips) or Phillip Dorsett Round 3--TJ Yeldon _
I like your choices. Mariota definitely #6. If either of the two pothead DE's fall to #37, Ray or Gregory, I would do that rather than WR. For #70, I would stay with your choice of Yeldon, if not, then Tyler Lockette, WR.
I haven't had the time or inclination to really research prospects this year like usual. It's been a nice change for me. I don't feel as antsy or irritable as in past years. Instead I'm hoping that BAP and need will strongly coincide for the Jets in this draft. The only player I have seen a lot of is Marcus Mariota. For the 2nd & 3rd rounds, I just hope we can get great prospects at two of these four positions: LT, OLB, WR, & RB. If that happens, I'll probably be very happy. 1. Marcus Mariota, QB 2. Whichever LT prospect the Jets like (Fisher, Humphries, Ogbuehi, Smith, Clemmings). If there isn't one then Phillip Dorsett, WR or Devin Smith, WR 3. Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB/Lorenzo Mauldin, OLB There are a ton of prospects that I think can really help this team. Some of my favorites are listed below in no particular order. Give me at least two (if not four) of these guys and I'll be very happy. QB Marcus Mariota WR Amari Cooper Kevin White DeVante Parker Dorial Green-Beckham (if his head is on straight) Phillip Dorsett Jaelen Strong (based on others' comments) Devin Smith Rashad Greene Jamison Crowder OLB Dante Fowler, Jr. Vic Beasley Eli Harold Lorenzo Mauldin Hau'oli Kikaha LT Andrus Peat La'el Collins Eric Flowers Jake Fisher TJ Clemmings? Donovan Smith RT Cedric Ogbuehi Brandon Scherff? RB Todd Gurley Melvin Gordon Tevin Coleman Duke Johnson Ameer Abdullah Jay Ajayi (based on others' comments) TJ Yeldon David Johnson While I really don't want them to take an OG, I'd even be happy with AJ Cann or Laken Tomlinson.
I was going to say Nate Orchard but he seems to be zooming up all the mocks. I could see him going early-mid 2nd. He's going to be a good player. _
Yeah because of Gregory and Ray - Orchard has been under the radar for some time now, but that appears to be over with. The Jets had him come in and visit. It's an outside possibility for him to be there in the 3rd.
I will assume Mariota is gone at #2, otherwise I'll sign up for the OPs three. First choice: 1. Cooper 2. Shane Ray (assuming he falls) 3. Duke Johnson Second: 1. Gurley 2. DGB 3. AJ Cann
Who I want - 1 Cooper , 2 D. Perryman , 3 David Johnson or Justin Hardy. Who we'll get - Peat (my 2nd choice if L. Williams is gone) , J.Fisher , R.Greene
