I know he get a lot of hate, but he did help construct teams that accomplished a lot of things during his time here. I wonder why he hasn't gotten back in the NFL ranks yet, there has to be a team looking for a capoligist.
Perhaps H R Block can use him for their Premium clientele. He can backload their tax liability until they get audited 4 years down the road.
I think the problem is that a lot of cap experts have come of age. He was smart to try to move into the front office, he just did not have the chops. Now he is competing with guys. As a GM he decided to kill his future caps for results, so he is paying the price. I am sure he would do an excellent job with some team's cap, but he gave himself the mark of Cain among capologists by his GM calls.
im sure he will get paid next year no matter what he does. and that saddens me, because as far as i am concerned the guy is an asshole and a liar. and he deserves everything that comes to him with his smug doucheyness. hopefully he ends up in buffalo.
it amazes me the hate people have, it's really sad. The team sucked this year and disappointed in 2011 but he's overseen more playoff wins than any Gm type in our history. There should be some appreciation of that.
He's got 2 years on his contract. Drive his kids to school, coach soccer, and baseball. Many people in life don't come by that opportunity.
Only Jets fans don't understand that key injuries at the skill positions kill a season. Tanny was fired, so Woody could hold the fan base. We aren't talking just Holmes...hill missed substantial time, as did Keller. Now...maybe retaining Schotty for three years, then getting Sparano, and losing Hakey played into it, or the impression that Tanny was....shall we say enamored of Parcells acolytes....
