    Wow is right!

That's a lot of cash. I guess Hank and Hal have answered the question of whether they'll run the club like Dad.

    They aren't.

    They're blowing right past Pop.

They have 64.5 million a year coming off the payroll after next year. 34 million more the following year. It appears they have some young players ready to move into those spots. By 2010 they may have one of the smallest payrolls around (among elite teams). In the meantime they are guarenteed complete sellouts for the next two years.

Two little things you seem to be forgetting....
    1. True a ton of money is coming off the books, but it will cost money to replace a lot of those guys coming off the books (Abreu, Matsui, Pettitte, etc.)

    2. You do realize that Cano and Wang won't be play for 400K forever right?

1 - Like I said, they have their own people in the minors ready to move into both of those spots. (Jackson and Tabata) (that 64 million doesn't even include Pettitte)

    Giambi - 24 Million
    Pavano - 10
    Mussina 13
    Abreu - 16

Nobody on that list needs to be replaced except Abreu and Tabata should be ready in another year.

2 - They will be for a couple more years
