Who in here, after Baltimore Game:

    a) Thought Mark Sanchez was a wasted draft pick
    b) Thought Brian Schottenheimer simply had to be fired
    c) Thought Rex Ryan's pre season boasting doomed this team to an 8-8 record (or worse)
    d) All of the above

I'll fess up to b) and c)... I guess we all who are guilty of one or several of these or other thoughts really need to react less after one week. From my end, lesson learned.

    I'll be honest....I was a big supporter of "b".

The rest of the choices never crossed my mind.

I thought Sanchez regressed in the Ravens game, but I don't think I went so far as A. I also did not agree with B and C, so none of the above.

That doesn't mean I can't be cynical though. Heh.

MB, I've from PA, but I listed to WFAN on the internet, and it appeared that so many NY'ers (whether they were Jets fans or not) seemed to think Sanchez was a waste.

I never felt that and am really glad he's playing well. Add me to the list who thinks he going to be even better Week #5 when #10 returns.

Good for you, BB. Man, if you still were in Schotty's corner after week #1 that's one tremendous "leap of faith!" :)

i watched the whole baltimore game (like I do every game) without sound and in slow-motion and/or framexframe on DVR and was quite confident at the end that we had outplayed a very good team. We were the better team. I was dumbstruck by the panic in Jetsland afterward. I was really down about the Jenks injury but nothing else. I remained fully confident.

I've been a believer in Sanchez since Goodell called his name out at the draft...on behalf of the NY Jets.....and I never wavered from that.

Sure...he's had his bad games....and he'll likely have more in his future (that's part of being human)....but I believe the good will outweigh the bad when it comes to Nacho's career.

I don't know that I was in his corner so much as I thought too many here were giving him all the blame, and Ryan and the players none. The Ravens game was a team effort.

Somebody was calling all those run plays in the Ravens game.

There was no balance in the playcalling....and that falls on Schotty's shoulders. Thankfully, he kindly removed his head from his anus in time for week 2.

ummm none of the above........we played like horseshit and lost to a SB favorite by 1. we dont have Holmes or Pace. someone thought Wilson VS Boldin was a good idea. and handcuffing Sanchez were my two big problems out of that game. and my fav Jet went down for now probably good

Indeed. Just wonder if there was really the rumored "confrontation" between Rex and Brian and that seemed to be circulating. Even though I don't think they got into each other's faces, I'm guessing some kind of discussion occured that let Brian be more aggressive in his play calling.

Clearly, something happened from Week #1 and halftime of Week #2. Suppose we'll never know, but I'm really grateful it did...

    On a scale of 1-10:

    a) 1.5
    b) 8.5
    c) 2

There were too many games last season where Mark showed what he was capable of to think he was a wasted pick (Texans, Pats @ home, Titans, both Miami games, etc... and of course, the playoffs). At the Ravens game, yea, I was calling for his head. Once I got home and watched the tape, I realized it was more play calling + penalties than anything else that caused the week 1 debacle.

I don't know how many others were on the Sanchez-to-the-Jets bandwagon weeks before the draft, but I sure as hell was. I almost broke my keyboard at work when I saw the Jets jump on the clock at no. 5.

I was in Eagles-crowd bar, and after the pick, I kept chanting J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, JETS! until i was asked to leave... Great day, that was...

I am probably guilty of B. I didn't think the problem was with Sanchez. I thought the gameplan was way too conservative and you got the feeling they weren't even trying to test the Ravens defense. They were playing "not to lose" ala the Hackett days... and they lost.

As far as Rex, win or lose I stand behind his approach. I'm not going to become a turncoat as soon as things go bad.

This is Schotty's first year to have the same starting QB as last year. He has never had 2 consecutive years where the same guy was the expected/known starter. Not to mention he is a good starting QB.

Same here. If the Jets go 4-12 next year, I still want Rex as my coach. I want him to be here for a long time. I hope Woody J feels the same way. Rex can retire from this job. I love his approach, I love that the Jets are FINALLY getting the attention, and its attention they deserve. Good bad or otherwise, I love Rex (no homo, yes man crush)

I have always thought B, not just after the Ravens game but prior to this, but maybe he is starting to become a little wiser as an OC. If he continues to keep it simple the talent on this team will take care of the rest.

I also think his feel for when to call plays is also contributing to the offense being productive.

    My jury is still deliberating.

    E) None of the Above. I came close to A. I really don't think Sanchez was a wasted pick. Jets just overpaid for his services ... I know this is debateable and only time will tell.
