So how do we go about establishing the run against the Steelers?

    Ranked 1st is rushing defense

If we don't establish the run then we're going to have to pass most of the afternoon and although I have more confidence in Sanchez than last year it's still a tough assignment to pass against that Steelers secondary

So folks what do we have to do, options? pitches? Passing out of the wildcat?

the oline has to be better....and hand the ball to S.Greene moreso than LT. This is Greene's time of the year....let's use him.

My opinion, spread em out with some 3 wide set or with Keller lined up wide, and run it that way.

If that doesn't work, we're going to get some defensive/special teams points. I have no confidence in Sanchez if he has to throw it more than 25 times

The oline definitely needs to win the trenches to establish anything in the run. With Head and Shoulders out, I don't think we have to rely so heavily on the run against such a stout front seven.

Short pass plays, a la colts offense, kind of turn in to runs (hoping that these high percentage easy throws are on target and not dropped).

Spreading out the field will not only help us move the ball outside, but allow us to run it up the gut with better success.

I assume we won't establish the run against the Steelers. We're gonna have to be able to pass the ball to beat PIT.... our D will keep this one close, let's hope the good Sanchez shows up.

if we can prove early on that we can pass the ball, than we can run the ball.

I think its a matter of staying with the blocks and the running backs finding the holes. Footage has showed LT missed a ton of openings in the line against the Fins

The Steelers are surrendering 60 rushing yards per game, as I said before we can 4get about running the ball tomorrow...

LeBeau will sell out to stop the run in obvious run situations, he always does. We need to pass a lot on first down, and work a lot of draw plays out of the shotgun. We probably won't run for many yards.

Play action on 1st down early in the game. A little success will keep the D honest, and without Polamalu, they have a nice hole in the middle of the D to hit Kellen.

Sorry I just don't have any confidence in this team right now especially the offense. I just hope we have good special team and defensive play.

Pass, run, pass or Pass, Pass, Pass. We're not going to run successfully against the Steelers

The Steelers Pass D isn't scary because of their secondary, especially with Polamalu out.

The front 7 makes it good.

Just keep pounding the rock. We don't have to puck up 4 and 5 yards every carry. We just need to make sure we keep running and pick up the short yardage runs.
