Well boys looked at the forecast for Seattle on Sunday, looks like strong chance of snow and in the Mid 20's. Are we happy to see this? Last time favre saw this team in a snow storm he lit them up in the playoffs.
Love to hear all your thoughts,
I believe it will intensify the need to do what has led to success this year and get off fast in the game. When we get out fast we get our swagger, especially favre. By the third drive at 14-3 and moving again he was humming a pick and a score and he seemed to morph into conservative mode again- short passes sprinkle in bomb. With the snow if we get out early I think Christmas and the fact that they are 3-11 will just put Seattle to rest.

Poll: Which jet player or coach will get hit first with a snowball thrown from the upper deck?

    O Mangini
    O Farve
    O Jenkins
    O Gholsten

gotta give mangini the slight edge over gholsten. both will be on the sidelines the whole game but mangini is an irresistable "hit the fat kid" target.

Definately helps us. We have a much better run game and are equally as tolerant of the cold. They will be fired up though make no mistake about it.

I think a lot of people around here expected the rain to help us against Denver and it clearly did not. I think the fact that we are a better team and match up well against Seattle will have much more to do with the outcome than the weather.

How about the fact that the "Hawks have a revolving door policy towards pass defending. They let everyone through.

    This doesn't favor either team.

We saw how the adverse conditions affected us against Denver. I do like the fact that we will hopefully get used to playing in cold, wet, wintry conditions. It can only help if in fact we have a long haul.

I hate weather in games...you would think snow would benefit the jets since they have the better O line and running game. but you always see a cold slick wet ball slide out of hands, take funny bounces, mess up special teams.....we need to contain Wallace in the pocket and not let him run for anything and gets some hits n him.....all i know is leon better get more carries than brad smith.

Bad weather is the great equalizer. Since we are the better team, there's no way in hell this helps up. Look at the Denver game 3 weeks ago

It is very possible that it will be snowing and in the upper 20s during the game with a bit of wind. I don't think it will be heavy snow at this time, but the conditions should make the game boil down to who can run the ball the best.

We should come out of this with a win; let me put it this way; we better; no excuses; we are flat-out the better team.

The Seahawks will put up a fight though, and if we play like garbage, come out flat as hell, have a retarded game plan, and make really stupid mistakes; we will be able to figure out a way of losing the game.

Most players will tell you it is the wind that affects the game more than the temperature.

Doesn't Qwest Field have a roof?

I think if it's wet and slippery we should try another lateral on the kickoff return.

No; it is a very similar design to Texas Stadium; fans are protected while the field is exposed to the elements.

39 year old QB's are not helped by cold wet weather.

Let Favre take a nap. Hand it to the PRO BOWLERS, Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. And let the PRO BOWLERS, Alan Faneca and Nick Mangold block for them. Or let the PRO BOWLER Favre throw it, not needed though.

Dominant run game (O and D), Favre and his bad whether experience... man I hope it snows I think it would really exaggerate our superiority in the running and passing game compared to Julius Jones and Seneca Wallace.

Julius should realize his bro has a shot at the playoffs :)

If they try to pass the ball in slippery conditions I expect ball-hawking the likes of which we've never seen. Law, Elam, Lowery, Revis and Rhodes will be all over their receivers looking for picks.

Favre played the Giants in GB in 0 degrees or something like that last January. Granted the Pack lost the game, but Favre didn't look like the weather was bothering.

The weather didn't bother him the week before in the NFC Divisional Game against the Seahawks.
