Just grabbed this from a Falcons site.... This was said on Sirius... Schaub, the 15th pick, our 2nd for Abraham and the #4 pick. This is just stupid for the Jets!! I would flip out if they did this!!
there's no way Mangini and Co. will do this. they will not part with both Abe and the 4th pick in one package. cheers
WFAN was reporting ealier Atlanta is not parting with Schaub at all.The owner said with a qb like Vick who they know will not endure the entire season based on his style of play.They are not parting with one of the best backups in the league.
If they didn't include the 2nd and made it a 3rd, it'd wouldn't be a bad trade. We wouldn't need a QB at #4 with Shaub, and at 15 we would have our choice of RBs (besides Bush). I still wouldn't do it, because it would be like trading down 11 spots and taking Shaub for Abraham, but it wouldn't be AWFUL.
Did you mean their (instead of 'our') 2nd round pick? Even still, Atlanta would be jipping Tannenbaum. Oh well.

Well i like the falcons unfortunately i do not love shaub and i don't want him anyway. I don't however see why you think this is bad for the Jets. They get the 15th pick and the second for our 4th pick and shaub for abe. I don't hate it, thats for sure. I think we can get more for Abe and a #4. But i wouldn't be totally ticked if we did this. We get a franchise Q.
