... summary for those of you who didn't have a chance to catch it ... sirius just interviewed joe willy ... not too much jets talk but here's what was said ...

... Allstate & the Hall of Fame are working on a program that Joe is taking part in to honor the home towns of former greats ...

... joe credits his high school coach with instilling "if you don't dream about winning that championship it won't happen" into him ...

    ... life is a team game ...

... discussed rogers & brees's performance last night ... both were brilliant ... the qb/wr communication & adjustments on the fly together in the middle of plays was amazing over pretty good db coverage ... joe was watching the game with his brother and said to him "i couldn't make these throws in 7 on 7 skeleton drills" ... said the mind & anticipation skills are what really put these 2 qb's above most of the others ... the sequence of the play begins running through their heads before the ball is snapped ... oh yeah, these guys have to do all this thinking & get themselves hit once and a while too! ...

... J-E-T-S discussion - the team has been semi-conservative the past couple of years & been able to reach the afc championships with that strategy ... discussed sanchez and said mark is a work horse .... has proven himself to be a team player ... joe sees marks game constantly improving ... joe is confident in mark & how he will perform this year ... his concerns were improved the qb/wr communication with plax/mase/kerley all being new ... and OL depth ... this is a new season & starting from the bottom ... hosts asked him about injury concerns & he mentioned a hip injury with revis (i don't recall anything with revis ... any of you heard something along those lines? unless it's just the injury from last season vs. moss that joe meant) ... and mason/plax being knicked up so far this preseason ...

... discussion went into peyton manning ... joe is concerned for him ... big blow for the league as a whole ... head/neck/spine injuries are complicated ... scary situation ...

... the game itself has evolved so much today vs back in his day ... defenses are monsters ... what manning has been able to do vs. them is remarkable ...

... that was about it ...

Joe should shut the F up already. He has no right to speak! About anything!

    I don't know if that's true.

I'm sure he can lecture about getting a BJ in a fur coat at 3AM the morning of gameday...

I like Joe but when I hear him speak on the radio he sounds like a guy coming off a bender. I think all his years of partying make him sound permanently drunk.

Who was the guy who was on with Papa afterwards? I was in the car so i didn't get to hear who it was by the time i got out. But that guy might be the stupidest fuckin person ever. I'm guessing he was a former player, but his commentary on the jets/cowboys game made me want to rip out my radio. I've only tried calling in a couple of times, but i tried a couple of times just to tell him off.

Fortunately Papa corrected him everytime. You could tell papa was thinking "are you a fuckin retard? Do you even know what you're saying?". in the end he kinda gave up and just "i guess we'll see..." in a thats the only way i can make you stfu tone.

Some of the stuff that jackass said

"The cowboys can run on the jets..they're gonna be able to run that's for sure"

Papa: But the cowboys have 3 rookies on their offensive line, and their first round pick isn't going to play. it takes time to gel
Other dude: And the jets have 2 on the d line (MORON...we have 1). Well, they know what's coming. The coordinator has intimate knowledge of rex's defense so they just have to go out there and do it. They won't be surprised.

    another gem

Other guy:"The cowboys have a great defense. If sanchez is gonna have to be throwing the ball alot, they're going to be in trouble".
Papa: But their secondary was one of the worst in the leagues last year and they might not have 2 starting corners.

seriously. most uninformed person i have ever heard as a guest or co host or whatever on sirius NFL radio
