who will be TE's 2 and 3? i think Baker is #1 but i dont kno if Jolley will be number 2 or not. Is Pociask any good i heard he can block but what about catching? and Dearth is out of the question. any ideas?
honestly i think jolley was a big waste after watching him last year...... i think the jets should cut him
Posiak will most likely fill the role more of H-Back/Full back becuase of his blocking abilities. Ellis
Jolley, Bollinger and Blaylock all could "potentially" be handed their walking papers...I realize it costs more against the cap to keep blaylock, but at this point I don't think we will carry 4 RB's on the team.
We talk about "Mangini" guys on here all the time. Basing it off what we believe that to be does anyone really think that Doung Jolley is a "Mangini" guy?
I think Posciak will be a FB. But if they keep as a TE, I think Dearth will be gone. Mangini spent alll draft getting players that play mulitple positions. Dearth is ONLY a LSer, he is horrible as a TE. Dreesen, is a decent TE with upside and a LSer. Dearth would be the odd man out I think.
I'm still pissed that Bradway made that stupid trade for Jolley. Heath Miller is twice the TE, but oh well, the past is the past I guess.
Agreed that Dearth sucks as a true TE however, longsnapper is a pretty damn important position so it will take quite a performance for a newcomer to bounce Dearth unless this rookie Center can handle the job..
True, but they have been grooming Dreesen as the backup LSer for a year. And you have to admit, Dearth isn't exactly in the Mangini mold of players being able to play multiple positions.
It seems to me that it wouldn't take a whole lot to teach some random dude off the street how to snap a ball 10-15 yards back.
Agreed. However Mangini will have to make some compromises somewhere along the line. He didn't gut the team and didn't replace every position. He might have to live with Dearth if Dressen can't do the job under pressure or Mangold can't handle it.
