He was cut. There are no waivers anymore. That would have happened while they still owned him which they probably tried.
No I think they waived him today, so he may have to clear waivers. The reason I asked should he go after him is because, the Pats or the Colts may very well land him.
http://www.dawgtalkers.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=3076&an=0&page=0 This was the best explanation of the waiver rules that I could find. I'm not sure if I am reading this right, but I think it says that, since he was released after the trading deadline, he needs to go through waivers.
I was just going to say he was released, that is the same as cut and waived I think. So since it's after the deadline he has to pass through waivers.
That could be, I was thinking of the baseball rules. Nobody will claim him off waivers and have that 18 million injury bonus to worry about. They will wait until he clears.
ill give him league minimum and thats it we have no cap space seeing as he will want more no thanks, lets let lowery develop
Releasing D. Hall is pretty funny, but in my opinion the funniest thing about the Raiders mess is that Davis says he won't retire until he wins two more Super Bowls.
he is on waivers where any team could snatch him up and pick him up with his existing contract 7 years 70 million. I think after 24 hours he becomes a free agent and can sign a new contract.
Hall has been awful all year, why take a chance on him? Let someone else take the chance, we have enough problems of our own ATM.
