Awesome to know that Jamison Crowder's contract will be renegotiated and also nice to see Marcus Maye back with the team. Not Jets related but omg after reports of Trevor Lawrence struggling through OTAs with multiple pick 6's and accuracy issues etc, he just suffered a hamstring injury during Jacksonville's first mandatory mini-camp. I was the biggest Trevor Lawrence homer but I'm glad we missed out on him only because Zach Wilson seems FUN to root for. From going to Knicks and Islanders games to coaches raving about him being a football and film junkie etc etc. Trevor making remarks such as... 'I don’t need football to make me feel worthy as a person' Followed by Trevor's own dad saying ‘He’s not award driven.’ ‘I want to win a Super Bowl at all costs,’ that’s not who he is. ‘He can walk away from the NFL tomorrow and be fine.’ Stuff like that really started to turn me off. I think he's the greatest NCAA QB I've witnessed since Manning and Luck but his personality reminds me someone who won't be bothered and will be perfectly fine if he does bust and flame out. He doesn't even like to watch Football as a kid. And neither did Curtis Martin but I'm sorry I need my QB to LOVE THIS GAME because if not, the drive night not be there 5-10 years from today. We might've dodged a bullet.
Do us all a favour and stop linking Cimini's tweets, let's make him as irrelevant as possible, the absolute cockwomble.
I haven't been keeping track but it seems like a significant percentage of Wilson's INT's so far have been off of drops?
How many times is Smith going to do this? Is this the 3rd or the 4th spilt catch leading to an INT already?
I can recall at least 2 smith drops turning into INTs and one Herndon maybe 2. But, at least the Defense is capitalizing on these mistakes.
Thank you all for the updates. Great info. Interesting to me how the first and maybe only thing Cimini highlights is the interception of a deflection. None of the other good stuff. He is such a non NYJ turd is unbearable. I guess some people see him as a balanced and fair reporter, I see it as self centered hack that focuses on the negative to prove his lame point about Wilson rookie mistakes and the need to keep Sam. I wish he would report for the freaking Giants for Pete sakes. Heretofore know as Cockwomble Cimini
Cimini is legitimately a hack and a complete waste of time. I refuse to read anything from him. He's such a useless piece of shit.
Hard to fault Cimini for being negative when his negativity has also turned out to be right every time.
The 5 biggest storylines entering Jets minicamp. 1.) Marcus Maye's contract situation. 2.) Zach Wilson's continued development. 3.) New York's ongoing running back battle. 4.) Rehab assignments (Becton/C. Davis). 5.) The wide receiver depth chart. (Link to full article, below). https://www.google.com/amp/s/jetswi...icamp-storylines-marcus-maye-zach-wilson/amp/
Not in 2009's offseason he wasn't. Dude was an even bigger hack back then. Side note. Where is Manish Mehta? Lol.
My thought on Cimini is buyer beware. He is a smarter and harder working version of Mehta with good sources who often produces good information. But, he has an ego and will often slant his coverage to prove what he has written before. I always read and look forward to what Cimini writes as he often has great information and he is arguably the best beat writer of the last 20 years. But, one has to always question what he writes as he has an agenda. So use him for the information from his sources but never trust him. But, it should be apparent now that Cimini really dislikes Zach Wilson (because of Cimini's support for keeping Sam) and will do his best to portray him in the worst light.
