Really interesting how they did this mock draft. In my opinion, pretty bad mock draft, but interesting nonetheless http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...leashes-the-greatest-mock-draf?urn=nfl,157715 And so you don't have to sit through listening to the 90 minute audio clip... Oh, and Gang Green Nation was the blog representative for the Jets, passed on Mark Sanchez and Jeremy Maclin for Moreno, wow. I do believe that Stafford will not be picked by the Lions myself Getting Stafford doesn't help the offensive line which definitely needs an upgrade. I expect that Curry will be the next pick because Spagnuolo is a defensive guy and they need help on the defense. I could see Stafford falling, but I don't know to what team. Seahawks makes sense, but I could also see Stafford falling to San Fran as well
Sanchez going out of the top 10 wouldn't shock me. People seem to forget that if the Lions pass on Stafford like many reports are indicating, it won't be difficult for even him to slip to the 49'ers at #10.
I don't know man -- I think the Rams will take an offensive tackle. Their line is even worse now with their release of Orlando Pace. Cutting arguably their best offensive lineman has to mean something... It's looking more and more like the Lions will choose between Matt Stafford, Aaron Curry, and one of the top tackles (Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe) -- their fans want Curry, but the FO as the final say. Jim Schwartz being a great defensive mind may want to bring in what some coaches are calling "the best linebacker prospect in ten years": Aaron Curry. We'll probably know who they're taking before this weekend - they want to sign their top pick early. I've been hearing some crazy shit lately -- Tyson Jackson may go in the top five to the Chiefs? Gil Brandt thinks this might happen.
I actually agree. I think the Lion will draft Jason Smith, and stafford will fall to number 4. If stafford falls, it is very likely Sanchez will slide out of the top 10. The pick that stood out in this mock was Cleveland selecting Orakpo over Crabtree. Their receiving core is in absolute disarray right now, they're trading Braylon, Stallworth is a joke, Winslow is gone, and they have a young QB who is on the the trading block leaving Derek Anderson with no receiving core, and a Cleveland offense that might be one of the worst in the league. I am not sure why they would pass up on a receiver like Crabtree.
