Should we trade for Washington if the price is right? - Lets say we give Oakland our #36 pick and they give us their third round pick. Just a thought. It would allow us to draft Gholston at 6 and have our defense be pretty much set and looking dominant entering 2008. Ill admit though, im not at all familiar with Washington so i have no idea if hed be better than a cornerback we could draft at #36.

NDmick, I'm with you. Fabian Washington has been steadily improving his play, and he was a pretty good prospect coming out of college, they say. But let's see what the CS / FO draft plan is -- after all, so far their ideas in FA have been pretty good, no? Should be fun.
Not interested at this point. Beware of any players the Raiders are willing to trade away especially if they overspent replacing him. Something doesn't add up there.
You have a major hard on for defensive backs, don't you? Why would we give up our HIGH 2nd rounder for a bust corner? He's all speed with little talent. If you're not familiar with Fabian Washington, why would you start a thread about trading for him? Do some research, at least spell his damn name right...
Hey Winston, the jury is still out on JMiller. Let's give him a chance when he doesn't have a knee and he continues to take the coaching. We don't know what we have there, until he gets to play in a for real NFL game. The coaching staff was pretty happy with his progress last year before he blew out that knee in pre-season. Let's see.
Justin Miller has a good training camp under his belt after 3 seasons as a professional cornerback. Pardon me if I'm skeptical, but one positive training camp after numerous on-field issues with performance and behavior for 2 entire seasons of 'real NFL games' (not to mention his running from cops last offseason, off the field), I am not ready to assume the guy is anything but a glorified dimeback. Especially after being off the field with a knee injury for an entire season. I'm not aware of too many juries that deliberate for that long.
I think J.Miller is a decent CB. I would assume he would do better than Hank Pot in the long run. But Miller is not the answer for a starting CB. Washington is'nt that good either but he'll be worth it for the depth. If he or Miller starts, then Brady might just have another MVP season pickin on them for 120 minutes...hopefully 180 minutes.
