Should we pick up Carney, if dropped by Giants?

The NYG is looking at two kickers for their next game. Tynes, who has been injured is saying he's ready to return. The problem for them is that Carney, the replacement, now leads the NFL per game. It is just possible that the Giants will drop the leading NFL kicker for Tynes.
    So, I was wondering....
Should we be looking at trying to pick up Carney?

When Tynes comes back healthy they'll have to either get rid of Tynes or Carney.

We should look at ANYBODY that will improve & contribute more to the team then the player he is replacing

Is Nugent ready to come back vs. The Bengals? If not, why wasn't he already cut?

I would absolutely look into Carney. He's 10 years older than Christ, but the last few years he's been really good. Plus he's a beast at kickoffs (and directional kickoffs) which is something this team desperately needs.

    Inside the fifty.

I kinda like the idea of getting inside the forty and thinking, "Well, at least we'll get some points."; rather than, "Should we punt?".
