Next week for the first quarter? It may be important to give them just a little bit more work, and give them a chance to clean some things up.

The risk is obviously short rest, but the reward could be worth it heading into week 1.

Maybe a drive ... I'd rather not see any more starters injured.

I think Sanchez is ready. I bet Kerley and Hill play. People like Mangold Moore Brick Sanchez Tebow Holmes Keller I don't want to see play.

I thought about this too, but if someone got injured, everyone would be calling for Rex's head.

We know what we have, next week is just garbage. Would it make everybody happy to score a td vs their scrubs?

    My preference:

For at least couple drives, I'd like to see Howard, Kerley, & Hill. Would also like to see McKnight & Powell get some runs ... maybe Jets can look to release one of them if a veteran RB gets cut.

On defense, keep all the starters off the field.

After the injuries that just occurred I'd say no.

No. They'll hang 24 or 30 on Buffalo. Write it down.

If and only if the Eagles are playing their starters for a drive. The last thing the Jets need is some knucklehead Eagle second teamer trying to make a name for himself taking out one of our starters.

I would have been OK with one drive, but not since I read D'Brick was limping. If D'Brick isn't in, neither should Sanchez.

I thought the starters played pretty well, outside of a couple of dropped passes and a bad penalty(that should have been offsetting penalties anyway). We don't need more injuries, our O will be fine.

I think that it's way too early to declare that our offense will be fine, but I agree that the first string shouldn't see extended time next week. Scoring on Philly's backups would accomplish nothing but exposing our starters to more injuries.

The Panthers player took his helmet off on the field during that BS. There is no question it should have been offsetting if for only that. Oh well.

I thought the offense looked much better and I think the TD's will come. I'm still concerned though.

That definitely should have been a penalty for removing his helmet but at least it happened in preseason.

I can't say I feel great but I'm fne w/ where the O is. Again, we haven't been using a full compliment of weapons. Throught the first 2 preseason games we missed Holmes, tebo and kerley w/ the 1's and last night we missed Keller(after 1 play) and Tebow. Tebow is going to be a running weapon for us, people seem to forget this.

Most important I thought Howard played well and Sanchez looked good again. We can't have drops, 2 drops cost us a TD and set up a Car TD. I thought our 1's controlled play while they were in there. I'm encouraged.

Do we really need to see Green run with his head down into a pile anymore?

Get the WR healthy for the regular season and put the ground and pound playbook to bed.

Yes. A TD would be very nice. I know in reality it is not worth risking the starters, but 1 endzone appearance would have been nice.

I say let the the Eagles have the ball after the first kickoff no matter what and see who they put on the field. If the put out the starters for a series or two, then maybe we should do the same. If all the scrubs come out then we should do the same. Just a thought.

No I want to watch how good McElroy is vs. how bad Simms will be.

This is a short week also, I believe we play Thursday night, so I say no to the top guys. The rookies could use the snaps though.

...What if Simms lights the place up? Puts up 30 points against the starters. LOL
