Some NFL suit said the league might start suspended motherfckkers for hard hits. I'm assuming Harrison is probably at the top of the list since he ended to Brown's day early yesterday.

Give me a reason for your choice.

    Harrison was clearly going H2H.

Saw both plays R/T and went ape$#!t.

If he did that to a Jet, I'd expect an OL to kneecap him before the second shot...

I haven't actually seen either of the hits but unless he was obviously launching himself head first at guys I say no. The concern for player safety is warranted but you can't legislate kicking ass out of football.

Yes, Harrison is a great player but he plays cheap sometimes.

It was obvious he was intentionally going for helmet to helmet contact.

Cribbs lowers his head trying to gain yardage as Harrison is already in tackling position. And people go apeshit.

Harrison goes to separate the ball from Massaquoi over the middle, and people go apeshit.

You know, I can actually remember when it was considered dangerous to go over the middle.

Watch the replays again and see how Cribbs shifts back towards Harrison and lowers his body after Harrison already goes for the hit. THAT's when the helmet contact occurs. Otherwise Harrison hits him from the side and about mid level on the body. Right about where the ball would be.

He's trying to jar the ball loose, which every football player is taught to do at a young age. Hit em and hit em hard.

It's only in the last few years that contact is starting to be outlawed in this league.

No celebrations in the end zones, no hits on running backs now apparently, no hits to jar the ball loose from a WR, and especially no hits on the QB's.

I think they were vicious hits but none were headhunting and cheap.

You want to see cheap, Brandon Meriweather on Todd Heap is what the league needs to get rid of, not James Harrison stuff.

The ball was over Heaps head, and Meriweather decides to jump up and headbutt him as Heap was coming down.

I think Harrison was looking to hit and to hit hard. The shot on Cribbs was Helmet to helmet but I dont think it was intentional by any means. The shot on Massaquoi (sp?) was a pass that the QB never should have thrown and was not helmet to helmet. he crumpled to the ground to avoid the hit but wound up taking it right in the head.

I dont think that Eric Smith deserved his 1 game suspension on his hit to Boldin as Boldin changed position due to the hit from behind by Rhodes but he got a game for it anyway.

NFL will suspend Harrison atleast a game. His comments today pretty much sealed it...

If a player is headhunting and it's beyond obvious, they'll get suspended. I saw Merriweather attack with his head and it was beyond obvious what he was trying to do.

It's bound to happen this year, and it better be a one game suspension to someone who really deserves it.

Maybe just threatening it might make players think twice. I don't know anymore.

Now that I'm off my phone and can see the Harrison hits, that second one was beyond obvious.

Harrison knows full well what he's doing.

    No.

Woodley had Cribbs' leg and Harrison came across and got him with the helmet. Harrison knew what he was doing on that play.

The other one with Mo Mass is different. That was Harrison looking to lay the wood, not hurt someone.

That second one is beyond obvious.

It doesn't really matter, the NFL is starting suspensions this week. If they get it wrong, too bad. If you don't want to be suspended then don't hit somebody's head with your head. Not on purpose, not by accident, it won't matter.

"The NFL will announce by Wednesday that, effective this weekend, even first-time offenders face suspension for "devastating hits" and "head shots," according to Ray Anderson, the league's executive vice president of football operations."

You have to love that ESPN is still saying that Leonhard's hit was head to head, although they say flagged for and not that he actually did it. In case you haven't seen the bias up until now......
