Just saw it on NFL.com, I wonder where he will go, I think he is close to done and very selfish so it would be to a team with a shite starter, but not as a mentor to a young back, maybe Cincinnati because Johnson looks like he is missing a wheel, or Detroit, outside shot at Raiders because they don't have near enough RBs

The Raiders have Fargas, Rhodes, and Bush. That's enough RBs.

I could see Shaun Alexander maybe going to Carolina to share a backfield with DeAngelo Williams, or to Tampa Bay because they don't have a clear cut starter, and Alexander would work well with Warrick Dunn.

For some reason this isn't too surprising. He put ALOT of wear and tear on his legs in a very short amount of time, he was bound to get injured soon enough, and it was bound to take a long time for him to heal up. He will probably go help out some team with a young RB for a year or two then call it quits.

A lot of NFL sites are bashing Michael Bush and Justin Fargas. It's hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic on the internet...I thought he was just thinking like raiderjoe - Shaun Alexander on the Raiders would be the NFL's rushing leader, and return to Pro Bowl form.

Chicago anyone? I am pretty sure they despise Benson in Chicago, and Alexander could clearly tote the rock for split carries until they get a young guy in for him to groom

He's done. He should seriously call it a career and personally thank Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson for all of his records and accolades.

    Oh man, ditto that.

Shaun Alexander is the most overrated player in the history of the NFL. I hated him when he bitched about not beating Curtis for the rushing title. I hated him when Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson broke the rushing TD record. I hated him when he was on the cover of Madden, "Hi, I'm Shaun, S-H-A-U-N." I HATED him when he dogged it all of last year with an owie and then came back and ran like a man sedated. I hate him period.

I'll say this now- if Shaun Alexander makes it into the Hall of Fame, I'll stop watching football.

At this point I feel it is safe to say the guy can't stay healthy enough to be that same rusher. And Oakland backs tend to be all dinged up as well.

EDIT: Nevermind... you were funning on Jeaux... I missed it the first time I read it.

    UGH, I can't stop.

I hated him when he bitched and moaned to get a record setting contract and then phoned in the next two years. I hated his Bondsian disrespect for the media. I hated his ugly "Is he the third Barber?" face. I hated the fact that he thinks he's good because teams have to travel out to freakin' Guam to play the Seahawks who owned the worst division in football for half a decade. I hated his stupid bald quarterback. I hated his lame-ass uniform. I hated the phony-ass "twelfth man" AKA BOSE Stereo, I hate freakin' Starbucks, I hate Nirvana, I hate Grunge, AND MOTHER-FUCK THE SPACE NEEDLE.

    OK, my bad.

Kurt Cobain is awesome, Pearl Jam rules, Matt Hasselbeck's "fan mail" commercial was pretty funny and a Venti Caramel Macchiato is one of my favorite drinks.

But seriously, finally, and for the last time, I hate Shaun Alexander.

Ron Dayne outlasted him. Looks like the Giants made the right pick after all.

Then again, it was worth it just to not have Barber and Alexander looking exactly alike in the same backfield.
