http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/blog/rob-rang/21594073/senior-bowl-mondays-measurements And, some comments from an observer based on the weigh-ins http://www.bigblueview.com/2013/1/21/3899710/senior-bowl-2013-weigh-in-results-and-recation I've seen some better notes on the players listed at another site, but he didn't cite the source, so I won't include it here, but some random comments I stole: measurements are: height, weight, hands, arms, wingspan Sylvester Williams DT North Carolina 6026 313 958 3168 7548 not in great shape Okafor, Alex DE Texas 6045 261 900 3318 7978 great physique Fluker, DJ OT Alabama 6047 355 1028 3668 8700 carries weight well, not too fat Wilson, Tyler QB Arkansas 6021 218 858 3100 7428 little gut..good muscle tone Robinson, Denard WR Michigan 5104 196 1000 3278 7700 great build Jones, Landry QB Oklahoma 6035 221 900 3218 7800 needs to add upper body mass Taylor, Stepfan RB Stanford 5090 216 838 2958 7258 thick upperbody, cut
Alex Okafor is someone I would like the Jets to try and draft in round 2, or late round 1 in the event of a trade down.
Stepfan Taylor = 5090? Wow ---- I thought he was around 5-11. Very interesting to see where these guys weigh-in. I think it also speaks to their intentions about what NFL position they are striving to play. A guy like John Simon of Ohio St. is someone I've been following. He played DE but I think will have to switch to OLB @ 6014 & 256 lbs. I like Okafor -- great size at 6045 261. Would be perfect OLB candidate for us, but it looks more & more like he's not going to be there in the 2nd round.
Quinton Patton came in at 6 ft even though listed at 6-2. He looks taller on film; I guess because of those long arms.
Anybody seen Margus Hunt play? He is more of a 4-3 DE but he gets a poor mans version of J.J Watt comparison .. I know we are in that hybrid defensive mode so it's a reach but one day we may be full 4-3
